Mariah Carey confirmed on the Today Show today that she is pregnant – but you already knew that. In a softly lit interview with Billy Bush, she discussed her desire for privacy on the matter, mainly because two years ago, she suffered a miscarriage and ever since then, the media speculation about the status of her womb has been rampant.
Carey told Bush he was the first public person she was breaking the news to, saying “Yes we are pregnant, this is true.” She was still hesitant to share too much, though, about her due date or any other details, telling him “It’s still early, I’m expecting in the spring, I’ll say that. I don’t want to give too much of like, specific outlines.” She did confirm that she conceived naturally and that she and Nick Cannon don’t plan to find out the sex of the baby before it is born.
