OK, before we get to this video that is very precious to us, we’ll admit: It was uploaded almost 3 years ago and has over 1.5 million views. The science of it would tell you that we would have seen it before, and yet here we are, wide-eyed, innocent, having never previously witnessed the amazingness that is… Raymond.
Raymond is a contestant that appeared on Wheel of Fortune somewhere between 1993 and 1994. I’ve been watching game shows since I was old enough to crawl on down, and I can guarantee with my entire heart that he is by far the most entertaining, hilarious contestant in game show history. The entire thing is a gem, but here is a play-by-play of the best moments:
:41: Raymond walks off the set because he’s ready for the final puzzle round.
:59: Hands the card off to Pat without even looking at him.
1:15: “Of course”
2:40: COMPLETE MAYHEM
4:25: Another genius sightless handoff.
5:57: “Vanna, put those L’s on there!”
6:05: Best solve delivery in Wheel history.
8:03: The stream of guesses coming out of his mouth, which are GENIUS, specifically and most obviously, Halo Sauce/Mild Sauce.
So if you have had the honor of viewing this video before, our apologies, but the internet is a vast place, where sometimes our most treasured gems take a while to land on our plate.
Raymond, where are you today, friend? We need UPDATES. We love you.
