Dakota Fanning Crowned Homecoming Queen, Is Way More Popular Than You’ll Ever Be

by Ambika Muttoo (@missmuttoo)

How much do we love Dakota Fanning? So poised, so gracious, so articulate: all attributes that should be instilled in any monarchy. So it’s only fitting that Dakota Fanning was voted Homecoming Queen at her high school! The actress was tiara’d and be-queened by her classmates at Campbell Hall Episcopal High School in North Hollywood, and we think they made the right choice. (No offense to the other young ladies at Campbell Hall. You’re all queens to us.)

We’ve all pretty much seen Dakota grow up on film, so the fact that she won the title but seems the antithesis of every “popular girl” stereotype (hello Rachel McAdams in Mean Girls), puts us in even more awe of her. Look at her in all pretty in her sparkly dress (Twilight, much?), complete with football-player-on-arm. That’s the Homecoming King, FYI. His name’s Henry Aleck and he looks like he can’t believe his luck to have D.F. by his side. Take a mental picture, Henry. This is as good as life is gonna get.
