Josh Duhamel Kinda Sorta Sorry For The Plane Texting Thing

While Josh Duhamel‘s rep issued an apology after word got out he was booted from a plane after refusing to turn off his BlackBerry, the Transformers actor didn’t quite form the word “sorry” when asked about the drama at that The Trevor Project benefit this weekend. “I’ve learned that it’s best to always turn them off,” the chastened stud told Access Hollywood, “[it was] not my favorite moment.” Well, how could it be? That night in 2002 when Josh won a Daytime Emmy Award for Best Supporting Actor for All My Children is obviously his finest hour. That or the day he met Fergie.

While the actor says “lesson learned,” we have our doubts. Though the guy reportedly was texting someone about his plane’s delay, the fact that he refused multiple requests to turn off his BlackBerry—so many that the plane returned to the damn gate—suggests he wasn’t just having a hard time stopping on the exclamation point. Unless the flight attendants had a grudge against him after sitting through The Romantics, odds are Mr. Ferg really was “taunting” the staff as witnesses suggested. In this case, the question isn’t whether he’ll text on a plane again, but whether he can keep from screaming “I was in Life As We Know It, you commoner!” the next time life makes him lemons.
