After all those seasons of trying to find love with fake-boobed blondes named Ambre and Brandi, it turns out Bret Michaels‘ true love was waiting for him at home all along. After the Rock of Love series ended, Michaels reunited with his longtime girlfriend Kristi Lynn Gibson, who is also the mother of his two daughters. And after appearing together on his VH1 reality show Life As I Know It, Bret finally proposed to Kristi in the season finale.
There was much speculation that Bret and Kristi would get engaged earlier this year, but the couple denied all reports, having reconciled while Bret was recovering from the brain hemorrhage he suffered back in May. After Bret asked Kristi for her hand, he broke the news to their daughters Jorja and Rayne by saying “I did it! We’ll all be together forever! Family hug!” Congratulations are in order, this has been a trying year for the couple and there’s no better way to end it than with a family hug.
