As if we weren’t already blown away by her Critics’ Choice Movie Award-nominated turn in Black Swan, now it’s revealed that Mila Kunis was blind in one eye the whole time. “I was blind in one eye for many years, and nobody knew,” the actress reveals. Kunis was diagnosed with chronic iritis, an inflammation of the iris that can potentially lead to permanent vision impairment. No word yet on whether Mila was still afflicted when she read the script for her new rom-com Friends With Benefits with Justin Timberlake, but based on the trailer, that’s a real possibility.
Luckily treatment was available, and Kunis has since regained her sight. “I’m not blind anymore. I had surgery a couple of months ago. They cut it open and dropped a new lens in there,” Mila explained. Guess that explains why Kunis’s break-up from Macaulay Culkin came when it did. We’re just kidding! We mean, she had her other eye the whole time. As for what she wants in a new man, Mila has got her sights (pun intentional) on a man with swagger. “Confidence, not cockiness,” Mila explains. “Looks go; they fade. I don’t think looks matter.” Wait, has she walked by a mirror since she had her eyes fixed?. Don’t sell yourself short, Mila, before you witness the true hotness you have achieved.
