The custody battle between Halle Berry and Gabriel Aubry is officially ugly, with Berry planning to challenge Aubry’s attempt to legally establish paternity and share custody of their daughter Nahla. “Halle has serious concerns for her daughter’s well-being while in the care of her father for any extended period of time and is prepared to take all necessary steps to protect her,” her rep told People. Woah! When did this guy go from being Nahla’s daddy/nanny to a dangerous figure? Probably when he decided he wanted equal time with her.
Halle’s even quit the movie New Years’ Eve to prove she means business. “She has attempted to resolve these custody issues amicably with her daughter’s father, directly, but given his lack of cooperation, Halle has no choice but to seek swift judicial intervention.” Considering Gabriel’s biggest beef was Halle taking the daughter off on international movie shoots, her decision to let Katherine Heigl take a big role has some symbolic weight to it. But how will he strike back?
