Apparently child prodigies are the new tiny dogs in Hollywood these days. First Usher took on Justin Bieber as his mentee, and now Lady Gaga has taken Willow Smith on as her new BFF. Pretty soon Paris Hilton will be toting around a couple of kid geniuses in her Birkin bag. Trends, amirite?
Jada Smith apparently told Bang Showbiz that a friendship with Gaga is just what her hair-whipping, money-making kid needs. “It’s funny. I love that she has her affinity for Lady GaGa and Lady GaGa has a lot of affinity for Willow. She has her relationships that I think are very good for her development.”
Er, okay Mom. We know that what’s strange to us boring old regulars is the norm for you Hollywood types. And hey – who are we to criticize adults befriending kids? It’s not like that’s resulted in weird, inappropriate relationships before. (Michael Jackson).
Willow is also following in Gaga’s fashionista footsteps. Says Jada: “Willow goes in my closet and tells me the things to get rid of that are old. So I pretty much listen to that.” Maybe Willow will tell mom to get rid of that old music career too.
