Gwen Stefani Donates $1 Million Towards Japan Relief

Amazing! It’s so heartening to see people not only talking about doing good, but actually acting upon it. We have so much respect for Gwen Stefani who just donated $1 million towards Save the Children’s Japan Earthquake-Tsunami Children in Emergency Fund. She’s following the footsteps of both Sandra Bullock who gave $1 million to the Red Cross and Demi Lovato, who matched the amount.

Gwen spoke about her love for the country —harking back to her Harajuku Girls phase — saying, “I’ve been inspired by Japan for many years and have a true love, appreciation and respect for the Japanese people and their culture. The disaster in Japan is beyond heartbreaking, and I want to do anything I can to help. I would never be able to make a gesture like this without the love and support of all the fans over all these years.” She’s not stopping their either. Gwen’s also offering a limited edition Harajuku Lovers T-shirt on the official No Doubt site. All the money made off the T-shirt will go towards relief efforts. This really is inspiring. It’s always great to see people give back.
