It was awfully nice of Tom Cruise to attend last night’s Kennedys premiere in Beverly Hills—sure Katie Holmes‘ turn as Jackie O is premiering on the previously-unheard-of Reelz Channel (whose big star Leonard Maltin attended), but at least she showed up with a superstar. But the guy could have tried harder to suggest the belated launch of her miniseries was a bigger deal. While stars Greg Kinnear and Barry Pepper showed up in suits, Tom went for a worn-out motorcycle jacket and an unbuttoned denim shirt half tucked into his wrinkled pants. It was less “just stepped off an action movie set” and more “just walked out of the bathroom of an Applebee’s.”
