Jada Pinkett Smith discusses her “very ordinary family” in the new issue of Grazia, revealing that her children—while rising stars with impressive wardrobe budgets—still find plenty to complain about. “At home, [Will Smith and I] get a bit raunchy kissing and cuddling and [Jaden]”ll tell us to stop it. Willow thinks it’s nice, she’s glad we’re loving each other. Jaden gets embarrassed, but I tell him, ‘Well, you are in our space, this is what we do.'” Though we’d like to know what she means by “raunchy” (actually, no we don’t), it’s hard to sympathize too much for Jaden. If they get too intimate, can’t he just bolt for one of the umteen other rooms in the Smith family mansion(s)?
Then again, it doesn’t sound like the kids are left alone much when they’re not making movies, music or posing with parents on the red carpet. “We spend a lot of time together,” said Jada. “I do outdoor things with the kids, which Will doesn’t so much because he’s not a fan of nature. We surf, we hike, it keeps us grounded. I bake, we sit around the table. The kids’ rooms are very messy.” Can’t expect a kid to do his chores and memorize lines for a new M. Night Shyamalan movie, can you? Too bad they can’t afford a maid or two…oh wait.
