Tough break for this husband-wife duo. Katy Perry is in Japan on the Asian leg of her California Dreams tour. And all she wanted was for her hubby, Russell Brand, to join her. Which he did. Well, almost did. Okay, he came close had it not been for Japanese authorities, because they booted Brand out of the country! This doesn’t happen too often to celebrities, does it? But yes, Russell Brand was officially deported out of Japan , apparently, for incidents stemming from a decade ago!
Katy tweeted about the unceremonious kicking out writing, “So…my husband just got deported from Japan. I am so. sad. I brought him all this way to show him my favorite place #tokyodreamscrushed”. Then Katy tweeted her displeasure by way of hastags and an explanation with, “It was for priors from over 10 years ago!…” Translation for the tags: Mama is not happy. Don’t mess with my man. You want to play, let’s go. Got that, Japanese deportation dudes? Arigato.
Russell dealt with his cards with a lot more humor, as expected. Brand tweeted, “Planning escape from Japanese custody. It’s bloody hard to dig a tunnel with a chopstick” along with a picture (not looking too beat up about the whole deal). Russell’s next tweet had us in splits! It read, “Stockholm syndrome kicking in. Just asked my guard out for (vegetarian) sushi. He giggled.” We’re giggling too about this whole mess too. We wouldn’t dare to around Katy, though!
