A beaming and baby-bump’d Jessica Alba attended the Safe Chemicals Act press conference called by Senator Frank R. Lautenberg in Capitol Hill, Washington D.C yesterday. She was acting as a spokesperson in support of the Safer Chemicals, Healthy Families coalition.
Jessica told the conference, “Four years ago I became pregnant for the first time, and as I’m sure any mother would agree, it immediately changes the way you look at things. [You] avoid anything that can be harmful to your child, particularly pesticides, alcohol, tobacco, the stuff that we’re all aware of. Thankfully my daughter Honor was born healthy and I wanted to provide the healthiest environment for her at home.” She went on to give a sweet, sincere speech and we have to say we have new respect for Jessica after this. It’s always great to see stars using their celebrity to support causes. It also helps that Jessica looked completely adorable in her serious “spokesperson” outfit!
