Times Square Pole Jumper: Photos, Video, And Anticlimacticness

A man caused a stir in Times Square today by climbing to the top of a pole at the corner of 44th Street & Broadway and refusing to budge for almost two hours before police finally surrounded him and took him into custody. (Was Harvey Danger’s “Flagpole Sitta” playing in his head the whole time? It was in mine, though it always is so today was just a happy coincidence.)
