Devoted Canadian, starship captain and arm-wrestler extraordinaire William Shatner recently received a Lifetime Achievement Award from Canada’s Governor General (who’s that? Like, their Kaiser? I think it’s their Kaiser.)
To accept the award, Shatner recorded a video of him singing “O Canada” (singing = Shatner singing, aka “literally just speaking”) to honor his home country, though during the process of delivering the anthem, Shatner took it upon himself to question and ultimately improve the words, Shatner-style. The video is over five minutes long, obviously, because nothing William Shatner does can not be way longer than it should be, or less awesome.
