All double entendre jokes aside (and there are many of them), we couldn’t be more excited about — get this! — an upcoming reality show on Lifetime! Ever since the network did away with The Golden Girls reruns (and somehow made Project Runway boring), we haven’t paid much attention to their programming block. But that is about to change, now that they’re set to air a show about Roseanne Barr, who lives on a macadamia nut farm in Hawaii. Even the graphic for the show looks like a Nintendo game from the early nineties (that’s a good thing!).
How can we not be excited for this? Roseanne is clearly both out of her mind and endlessly brilliant (and also a fully engaging point of reference for anyone who read her recent thought-provoking New York Magazine piece about being a woman in comedy).
Needless to say, the only possible thing that could make this show better would be if Blues Traveler sang the opening credits. Are you listening, John Popper?
