Chris Colfer Found Out He Was Leaving Glee Via Twitter

Did you find out that Chris Colfer’s Glee career was coming to an end after the third season via Twitter? That’s funny; so did he. “Yesterday on Twitter. Yeah, I found out that they made that announcement,” Colfer told Access Hollywood today. “I didn’t necessarily know that it was going to be our last season next year, I knew something like that was coming up eventually. I mean, we can’t be there forever. I don’t necessarily want to leave so soon, but I mean, it’s fine. It’s what it is. And all things come to an end.” Hmm, this seems to contradict Glee creator Ryan Murphy‘s claim that, “We made that decision and I involved Chris and Lea and they thought that was a good idea.” Maybe Murphy wasn’t able to fit all the pertinent information into 140 characters?

If the baby-faced actor doesn’t sound too upset, it’s probably just Chris Colfer’s Emmy nomination talking…or the possibility of a Glee spin-off. “I’ve only heard rumors, I’m not attached to anything officially,” Colfer explained. “So, we’ll see where that goes.” Meanwhile, Colfer checks his phone every 30 seconds for a career-changing DM for the rest of his life.
