Lauryn Hill might be trying to shoot down rumors, but she’s only succeeded in producing a million more of them. After rumors swirled that the singer’s partner Rohan Marley and Isabeli Fontana, a Brazilian model, are dating, Hill stepped forward to clear up a few things, such as the common misconception that Marley is the father of her Lauryn Hill’s new baby. “Mr. Marley and I have a long and complex history about which MANY inaccuracies have been reported since the beginning,” Hill wrote via her rep’s Twitter.” To speculate without the facts can only cause people to form WRONG conclusions. We both value privacy and for that reason defend and preserve our right to it. Contrary to the numerous reports, Mr. Marley did not abandon me while pregnant with his child. We have had long periods of separation over the years but our 5 children together remain a joy to both of us.” Seeing as how Hill’s new son is her sixth child…plus the fact that she didn’t technically deny Marley was modelizing…we see what you did there, Lauryn.
Continued the Fugees star, “Thank you for your concern and I appreciate all of the well wishes regarding the birth of my new son.” Rohan Marley retweeted the message, and late added, “I’m forwarding all well wishes to Ms. Hill on the birth of her new son. I’m sure she’ll appreciate the love being sent to her.” The two then high-fived and laughed hysterically while the rest of us scratched our heads over what exactly is going on.
