Soulja Boy Track Draws Ire Of The U.S Army

Soulja Boy is in trouble with the U.S. Armed Forces and it’s all because of his song Let’s Be Real.  A retired sergeant named Leo Dunson heard the track and got riled up because of the lyrics ‘F—k the army troops’ and actually recorded a scathing rap response called Change Your Name. His rapper avatar is called — fittingly — Sgt. Dunson and because that wasn’t enough, he’s also started an online petition to get Soulja Boy’s music banned from military bases across the country.

Dunson’s reasoning is that Soulja’s tune is, “The most ignorant thing I’ve heard in so long.” He also thinks that it’s completely in poor taste as the 10 year anniversary of 9/11 is around the corner. What do you think, guys? Is it a case of excessive moral policing or does Dunson’s petition (which is gathering speed) warranted?
