The chef, writer, and host of No Reservations (and professional Paula Deen H8R) came out this past weekend in New York to laud the opening of a brick-and-mortar version of something called The Big Gay Ice Cream Truck. (Basically, this bassoonist, Doug Quint, decided to man a traditional Mister Softee ice cream truck, but he garnered the soft-serve with innovative ingredients like sea salt, curried coconut, and key lime curd, and a phenomenon was born.)
Bourdain wore a priest getup (HAT INCLUDED!), and blessed Quint with the hope that he sells “a lot of motherf*cking ice cream.” Amen, brother. Cue the bassoon band (yes, there was a full bassoon band)!
