How Bruno Mars and his band pulled off this look is beyond us. The singer and his musicians put on sunglasses and hot pink jackets with black lapels and detailing yesterday at the 2011 MTV Europe Music Awards in Belfast, Ireland. They looked pretty terrific — retro but not twee. They didn’t even clash with the pink carpet. Bruno picked up Best New Act, BTW. Note, Katy Perry. This is how you do awards show pink.
