It was slim pickings out there. The MTV Europe Music Awards 2011 took place in Belfast, Ireland, yesterday, and the red carpet wasn’t exactly filled with the best fashion. Still, we’re quite happy with this list of best-dressed stars. And to our surprise, Lady Gaga is one of them. We agree that the blue-gray lipstick is a bit much for a normal person. But this is Gaga so it’s tame for her standards, right? More important, look at her dress. It’s almost architectural looking, as if it’s been created from flat silver cubes and way more interesting than what anyone else wore. She wins, period.
The rest of the shortlist includes Selena Gomez who looked beautiful in an ivory, ruffled Marchesa gown with a very sexy back. Irina Shayk wore emerald earrings and a dual-fabric gown with a thigh-high slit, and Hayden Panettiere rocked a Tibi black-and-white silk twill dress. Very French maid, but with a twist. Rounding off the list is Adam Lambert and God bless him for his sky-high quiff and bright blue shoes. Did we get our selection right?
