Alec Baldwin alleges he had a nasty experience aboard an American Airlines flight yesterday, adding to the long list of celebrities who got kicked off planes this year. The outcome of it, of course, was getting booted off by the captain, no less. Alec’s side of the story is that a flight attendant went loco on him while he was playing “Words With Friends” on his phone as the aircraft was still at a gate in LAX. AFter the incident, Alec tweeted, “Flight attendant on American reamed me out 4 playing WORDS W FRIENDS while we sat at the gate, not moving. #nowonderamericaairisbankrupt.”
TMZ reports that people on the plane do confirm that there was a verbal battle between the actor and the flight attendants, as they did want him to switch his phone off. As he was playing, that is. But they’ve also added that Baldwin was pretty mad after the incident, got up when the “Fasten seat belt” sign was on and took it out on the bathroom door by slamming it really hard as he was going in. Apparently, it was so loud, that the captain heard it and investigated the matter. That’s when the decision to deplane him was made. Alec’s people claim that this isn’t true. Alec did catch the next flight out, FYI. And couldn’t resist tweeting a barb that read, “Now on the 3 o’clock American flight. The flight attendants already look…..smarter.”
