Luckily a role in the upcoming drama Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close and the encouragement of director Stephen Daldry cured her of the near-terminal case of “chronic Jesse James” Bullock had contracted from her divorce. As the Blind Side star explained to AP, “I was perfectly content to be permanently broken … time-wise. I honestly didn’t think I was in a place where I wanted to work or wanted to step out of where I was. I wasn’t prepared.
