All Hail Queen Madonna! How much more appropriate can you get considering her grand entrance at her incredible (seriously, mind-boggling) Super Bowl Halftime show took its cues from another legendary queen. The next photograph shall elaborate.
Walk like an Egyptian, bay-bee! Only Madge could take on the awesomeness that was Elizabeth Taylor‘s unforgetable entrance into Rome in the film Cleopatra. Come to think of it, Madonna’s entire performance reminded of us of all that is pop culture, old and new. Seriously guys, her fashion cues through the whole shebang — with guest spots by LMFAO, Cee-Lo Green, M.I.A and Nicki Minaj — reminded us of a couple things that hold a very high importance in entertainment graph. Don’t believe us? The Liz Taylor connection didn’t do it for you? Fine, then click after the jump.
Pray, what could Madonna have been thinking about when she picked this “look”?
Our guess is that the hottest Norse God of all them all may have been on her mind. No seriously, Thor is hot!
Madge was kind enough to bring LMFAO along for the ride.
Or as we’d like call them — Fred Flintstone and Barney Rubble.
Next. What’s going on here?
Kick-ass cheerleader? Reminds us of something.
You love Bring It On as much as we do, and that’s the the end of the discussion. Look at them ladies go!
When will we ever see Kirtsen Dunst as a cheerleader again? Sigh. Will we ever get to see Madonna holding pom poms other than when we’re done maniacally rewinding “Give Me All You Luvin’ “?
And then there was Madonna and Cee-Lo. “Like a Prayer.” Praise the Lord!
Black sequins? Drama? Who could that be?
We love you Liza Minnelli. And we love you Madonna!
