Lindsay Lohan In The Clear With Probabtion Department Over Hit-And-Run Case

|

Lindsay Lohan is off the hook with the probation department, which we had a feeling would happen. She was pretty much being held to ransom, as it were, by Thaer Kamal and his legal team including his lawyer, Mark Geragos, for a six-figure settlement. Here’s a little refresher: Kamal is the manager of the Hookah Lounge, and popped up crying wolf, alleging he had been hit  by Lindsay’s Porsche as she was exiting the club’s area while being mobbed. This is after the cops were called to the scene and ascertained that everyone was okay. The whole thing seemed like a scam to us. It felt like Kamal was trying to force money out of her using the fact that her probation hearing was just around the corner. The fact that he was, supposedly, being investigated for insurance fraud, just made it even shadier.

Luckily, the probation department seems to be on the same page. The L.A. County Probation Department officer wrote a report stating that Lindz’s probation had not been violated because of the incident. That translates into no arrest and no jail. The statement read, ” The probationer (Lindsay) is in compliance with the terms and conditions of probation.” TMZ also reports that if Lindsay stays on the straight and narrow for the next 48 hours, then she’s off formal probation, which it’ll make it the first time in four years for her!
