Woody Allen’s To Rome With Love Poster Is The Woody Allen-est And Rome-est Thing Ever

by hopperd

Woody Allen just released the poster for his latest European-excursion film, To Rome With Love, and we’d just like to take a moment to point out that we basically predicted this movie exactly one year ago. Prepare to have your mind BLOWN (with a very predictable prediction):

Our Fake Woody Allen ‘Rome’ Poster, June 2011:

The Real Woody Allen ‘Rome’ Poster, March 2012:

Pretty close, right? Ensemble cast, Coliseum visible in the background, the word “Love” instead of the word “F***ing” – AND we made that before we even knew he was actually making a Rome movie (not that this was a crazy stretch), so really if anything, he probably plagiarized us. Plus the ACTUAL MOVIE stars Roberto Begnini, who we left out of our fake movie because it seemed too on-the-nose. So which one is the TRUE parody? (Answer – the one with all the Photoshop mistakes)

For the record, I really enjoyed all three of Woody Allen’s recent Euro-films (especially Eurotrip), and look forward to seeing this one too, but I don’t get to take credit for correct-predictions very often so I’m reveling in this one.

We’ll call it even after my prediction that The Hunger Games would gross under two hundred dollars was wrong.
