Vote For The Funniest Ladies In The Summer Movies

It’s been said that comedy isn’t pretty, but we’re about to prove them wrong. There’s a gang of lovely ladies hilariously hitting up the big screen this summer, and they look amazing as they do it! We hope you’ve been following our Summer Movie Preview, where we’ve brought you the best of this summer’s cinematic heroes, heroines and villains. But now it’s time to give you the rundown on the women who will make you laugh ’til you cry, or get thrown out of the theater.

First and foremost, we’re expecting huge comedy from What to Expect When You’re Expecting. The film boasts Cameron Diaz, Jennifer Lopez, Elizabeth Banks and Anna Kendrick! Mila Kunis is already a comedy legend at the super young age of 28, and we can’t wait to see her she compete with a teddy bear for Mark Wahlberg’s affections in Ted. The greatly anticipated movie sees her collaborates with her Family Guy co-star Seth MacFarlane. Malin Akerman takes us way back to the ’80s as a reporter in Rock of Ages, while Helena Bonham Carter takes us back even further to the ’70s in her husband Tim Burton’s latest film, Dark Shadows.

It’s a given that Sacha Baron Cohen’s latest offering The Dictator will be offensively brilliant (brilliantly offensive?), and Anna Faris will add her usual hyper-enthusiastic sparkle to the mix. Keira Knightley doesn’t normally go for the laughs, but we’re definitely pumped to see what she can do alongside tried and true funnyman Steve Carell in Seeking a Friend for the End of the World. Steve’s former Office-mate Rashida Jones will likely bust some sides in her new movie, Celeste And Jesse Forever, costarring SNL alum Andy Sandberg. The sizzling Eva Mendes will play an immature single mom in Girl in Progress, and Frances McDormand will take deadpan to new levels as an over-protective mom in Wes Anderson’s latest mini-epic, Moonrise Kingdom.

So who do you think will make you laugh the hardest at the movies this summer? Let us know in the poll!
