A huge round of congratulations are in order for Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves. The genetically blessed couple finally tied the knot in a sunset ceremony Saturday evening in Texas, says People, after being together going on six years and sharing two beautiful children — son, Levi Alves McConaughey and daughter, Vida Alves McConaughey. The ceremony itself was extremely private and very simple. Apparently, some details were revealed to guests at the very last moment. Those guests, including close friends and family, stayed on large, luxury tents the actor had pitched across his huge property. It’s no surprise that the celebration lasted three whole days with lots of people chilling on hammocks, sipping brews and playing lawn games. It sounds so idyllic!
US Magazine also has a guest talking about the ceremony itself and it sounds like a very emotional one. “There were no groomsmen or bridesmaids. And there were two preachers, [a pastor of a local church] and a monk. They switched off saying remarks,” says the source. The simplicity filtered down to even the vows section of the ceremony. The guest adds, “They whispered them in each other’s ears. No one knew what they said. Whatever they said was very emotional. [Camila] was tearing up. The crowd erupted and there were many tears all around …” People has the exclusive on all the photos which they say will come out in print this week. A guest also revealed that Matthew looked “so handsome” and like “an old Hollywood movie star” in a three-piece black Dolce & Gabbana tuxedo, while Camila was “just glowing and beautiful” in white Stuart Weitzman heels and a wedding gown handmade by her favorite Brazilian designer. We can’t wait to see the pictures! Best wishes to the happy couple!
