Lil Wayne doesn’t like anyone coming between him and his NBA courtside seats. According to the New Orleans syrup sipping rapper, he was denied entrance into the Spurs vs. Thunder game in Oklahoma City on Memorial Day weekend. He tweeted his frustrations saying, “Was going to go to the Thunder game tonight but was denied by the team to be in their arena. Wow. Smh. Go Spurs!” That’s great sportsmanship, Wayne. When you don’t get your way switch your support to the other team. That’s mature.
Although a rep for OKC released a statement saying Weezy wasn’t denied, rather he didn’t get in because he didn’t have a ticket, Wayne says last night he was treated horribly, again, by OKC. He tweeted, “Again I was treated like sh!t by the Thunder arena staff…dam..I hope da Heat beat da dog sh!t out em!!” Oh, Weezy F. Baby. We don’t know whether to believe Wayne or the team’s rep at this point, but we have a few theories on the rather strange coincidence of Wayne having two “bad” experiences with OKC.
Keeping out an A-list celebrity (that pays big bucks for floor seating of a playoffs game) is probably not an easy thing to do. Word on the street is that OKC guard James Harden is the reason behind Weezy’s denied entrance. Harden has been linked to rapper Trina, which is Wayne’s ex. A couple weeks back while performing at Liv night club in Miami Wayne yelled, “I love you and I miss you baby,” shouting out his ex girlfriend who was in the crowd. Maybe as a little payback Harden wanted to show Wayne who the boss was in Oklahoma City. All of that would make sense if Harden didn’t tweet Weezy, “@LilTunechi Come to the Next game. We got seats for u 5! Whooppp!”
Knowing Weezy he may have gotten so high he forgot to call the PR rep to buy tickets. It’s all very mysterious. All we know is that it’s a major coincidence that he’s claiming mistreatment only from the team his ex girlfriend’s current boyfriend plays for. Maybe professing his love for Trina wasn’t so smart after all.
