Oof, we don’t know whether to panic or swoon with relief just yet! Local ABC affiliate KABC reported that Lindsay Lohan was found unconscious in her hotel room and taken to the hospital in Marina Del Rey, California. Paramedics were called to her penthouse room in the Ritz-Carlton at 10:15 a.m. PT. Now, according to TMZ, it looks like she was just sleeping off a really long couple of days at work and someone overreacted. Sources told the gossip site that she was shooting Liz & Dick for two days straight without sleep. UPDATE: Apparently, she called the movie’s production staff saying she didn’t feel well, and a doctor was called to the scene. That doctor, in turn, called someone from the hotel to check on her, and when the hotel employee determined she was “unresponsive,” they called 911. When paramedics arrived, they determined she was OK and did not take her to the hospital.
Here’s the official statement from her rep, Steve Honig, as told to E! Online: “Lindsay has been working a grueling schedule for the last couple of days. Last night she worked from 7 p.m. to 8 a.m. She was exhausted and went back to her room to sleep. Producers were apparently concerned and called the fire department and paramedics found her sleeping but determined that she was fine, just extremely exhausted and slightly dehydrated. She is on her way home now to rest and will be back on set later today.”
First of all, everyone involved in Liz & Dick, WHY are you working the girl this hard? She hasn’t had a lead role in a while, and she’s clearly in a fragile state. Also, you are a Lifetime movie. Is that really worth putting her health at risk? C’mon!
By the way, this comes almost exactly a week after Lohan was hospitalized when her Porsche crashed into an 18-wheeler.
Stay tuned for more!
