Katy Perry was a one-woman glam squad at the premiere of her 3-D concert documentary, Part Of Me, at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre yesterday in Hollywood. Katy wore head-to-toe Dolce & Gabbana to walk on the red carpet. As you can see from the photograph on the left, she fittingly wore a beautiful rich red dress by the brand, and matching pumps that totally jived with her purple hair. We love the vintage feel of the flared waist, and the color is just genius against her skin. The documentary isn’t all doom and gloom at all, even though she cries over her split from Russell Brand in it. It’s actually a celebration of everything she goes through on the road, and that’s how she chose to premiere it as well — with a fun, celebratory surprise concert for fans!
The singer swapped her D&G duds and emerged out of a box of popcorn to perform hits like ”Part of Me,” “Firework,” “California Gurls,” “Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.),” “I Kissed a Girl” and current single “Wide Awake.” And she looked like she was having a blast onstage, wearing a crazy get-up of high-waisted, mad-printed hotpants and a film-reel-inspired bra-top. She had to be careful with the top, though, because she kept bending over. Luckily, no wardrobe malfunctions marred her big night.
