Guys, today is the day Magic Mike comes out and changes our lives forever. Okay probably not, but we do get to see Channing Tatum strip on the big screen, and that still feels pretty important. Despite the way everyone woman (and, let’s be honest, man) is foaming at the mouth to see Alex Pettyfer and the gang take if off this weekend, it turns out Magic Mike is only the most recent in a long line of awkward, dramatic, sexy, humiliating moments in male movie nudity. From Jason Segel‘s weepy reveal in Forgetting Sarah Marshall to basically every movie Ewan McGregor has ever done, enjoy what we consider to be the top 10 moments in cinematic dude nakedness. Though…aren’t they all pretty excellent? Warning: There will be butts.

The Full Monty (1997): Did anyone else make their mom drive them to the theater twice in the seventh grade to see this movie about unemployed steelworkers who form a strip act? Yeah…us…neither. [Photo: Fox Searchlight]

Trainspotting (1996): We were not kidding about Ewan McGregor, y’all. The Pillow Book, Young Adam, Velvet Goldmine … Trainspotting was just one nude moment in a very naked career. [Photo: Channel Four Films]

Friends With Benefits (2011): The only benefit of seeing Friends With Benefits was getting to watch Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis act sans pants! Haha! Just kidding; we’ve never seen it. It could be really great. [Photo: Castle Rock Entertainment]
Forgetting Sarah Marshall (2008): No one can forget Jason Segel sobbing over his breakup without his towel. And really, why would you want to? [Photo: Universal Pictures]

Boogie Nights (1997): Okay, we know Mark Wahlberg uses a “prosthesis” for the big reveal at the end of Boogie Nights, so technically speaking this is not actual male nudity. That being said, we know what you people are like. You’d want us to include it anyway. [Photo: New Line Cinema]

Love and Other Drugs (2010): The ad campaign for this Jake Gyllenhaal/Anne Hathaway rom-com focused entirely on the sexy nakedness of its stars. We’re assuming the movie made $20 billion dollars, right? [Photo: Fox 2000 Pictures]

Borat (2006): Haha, and who could forget Sacha Baron Cohen‘s Borat fighting his assistant in the nude? No, seriously, who has forgotten it? We need to know how to Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind this image out of our brains. [Photo: Four by Two]

All The Right Moves (1983): Tom Cruise. Lea Thompson. One classy love making scene. One of the best moments in male movie nudity of all time. [Photo: Twentieth Century Fox]

Wild Things (1998): If we’ve seen Kevin Bacon naked, are we technically one degree of separation away from him? We think so, right? [Photo: Mandalay Entertainment]

Hunger (2008)/Shame (2011): Everyone made a big deal about Michael Fassbender‘s nude scenes in last year’s Shame, but truth is he took it all off years ago for the biopic Hunger. Hey, hunger, shame … those are two things we felt while making this list! Also pride. [Photo: Channel Four Films]
