We’re being bombarded by stories from TMZ and the like about a whole lot of drama going down at the Jackson family home in California. Everything escalated to new heights yesterday, when police were called to Katherine Jackson’s house in the afternoon for a domestic disturbance. Let’s try to sort this out, shall we?
Last week, a letter from Michael’s siblings Randy, Jermaine, Janet, Tito and Rebbie leaked to the Internet demanding that estate executors John Branca and John McClain resign because their mismanagement had caused Katherine to have a mini-stroke. Meanwhile, Katherine Jackson had left the kids at home to attend her sons’ Unity Tour. She reportedly never made it to a show.
On Thursday (July 18), via Twitter, Paris Jackson accused Uncle Randy of purposely leaking said letter to discredit her grandmother. “i am going to clarify right now that what has been said about my grandmother is a rumor and nothing has happened , she is completely fine.”
On Sunday, family members reported Katherine Jackson missing. Paris tweeted that she hadn’t seen her in a week. “If anybody sees my grandmother , please call the authorities or this number— (818)-876-0186 it’s the security number .. thank you so much,” she wrote. But that night, Katherine contacted police to say she was fine.
Paris didn’t seem to think so, tweeting, “The same doctor that testified on behalf of dr murray saying my father was a drug addict (a lie) is caring for my grandmother… just saying.”
On Monday morning, Katherine revealed that she was at a spa in Arizona with her daughter Rebbie. But why didn’t anyone tell her grandkids? TMZ speculated that it’s all part of MJ’s siblings’ efforts to have the will invalidated.
Monday afternoon, police were called to the house in Calabasas for a domestic disturbance. No arrests followed. Later that night, TMZ posted this photo of Jermaine and Janet talking in the driveway. Good Morning America aired surveillance footage that appears to show Janet snatching a cell phone away from Paris while Randy looks to be recording the whole thing on his phone.
Early Tuesday morning, Katherine’s lawyers released a statement accusing a “family member” of ambushing an SUV containing Blanket, Prince and Paris as they arrived in their driveway. An altercation ensued and the children were “forced to temporarily leave their home and taken to a safe location. … Following the incident, it was learned that one of the family members who was part of the ambush admitted that a plan has been in place for the last three years to remove Katherine Jackson from her home and her beloved grandchildren.” The estate also revealed a statement about the disturbance, saying, “We believe measures are being put in place that will help protect [the Jackson children] from what they are having to deal with.”
Paris is extra pissed now. This morning she tweeted, “9 days and counting… so help me god i will make whoever did this pay.” This refers to the nine days since she’s seen her grandmother, and we assume she still doesn’t know which family member is behind this plan.
Meanwhile, we have no idea about the root of the problem — is 82-year-old Katherine suffering under the stress of raising her grandchildren? Are the executors mishandling things? Are the siblings being greedy? We’ll stay tuned!
