If you’re going to remake of a remake, you might as well use it as an opportunity to have Bradley Cooper and Beyonce smooch out onscreen. Are we right, or are we pervs? Clint Eastwood knows what we’re talking about! According to Variety, the Gran Torino director wants The Hangover II star as the male lead of the Bey-lead reboot of A Star Is Born. Cooper is apparently considering the role, by which we mean covering his iPhone with his hand and shrieking with glee until his agent finishes negotiating his salary.
The only thing we don’t quite understand is what age Bradley will be playing in the film. Apparently Eastwood is rebooting the original 1937 version of the movie (rather than Judy Garland‘s 1954 version or Barbra Streisand‘s 1976 take). The story will center around “an aging rocker who falls in love with a young, rising star.” Screenwriter Will Fetters allegedly based the male lead on an older Kurt Cobain, but if Beyonce is 30 and Bradley Cooper is 37….how are they going to pull this off without some laughable aging makeup? Of course, when it comes to Hollywood, isn’t there an entire generation of difference between the ages of 30 and 37? Hahaha, we have no idea what we’re talking about, but we’re all seeing this movie in theaters regardless. Let’s not pretend otherwise.
