Hats off to Kate Middleton. Even in the midst of a nasty topless scandal, she ended up completing her tour of her South-East Asia for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee with the sort of poise we can only hope to achieve one day. The tour officially ended yesterday and we’ve picked our favorite three dresses from her wardrobe from the whole week. Summery, classic and dressed in breathable fabrics, the Duchess has scored another fashion win, in our eyes. The first picture, on the left, is a beautiful white suit by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen with broderie anglaise, or eyelet, detail, worn to visit the Gardens by the Bay in Singapore. She paired the dress with Stuart Weitzman Corkswoon wedges and a suede navy Muse clutch. The outfit is so elegant and simple and her belted waist looks impossibly tiny.
The photograph in the middle as an icy-blue, boat-necked Alice Temperley dress worn for tea at the British High Commissioner’s residence in Kuala Lumpur. We love the feminine sheer overlay and the white embroidery. Kate teamed the dress with her trusty LK Bennett Sledge pumps and the “Natalie” bag. Although you can’t see them in this picture, she had little pearls in her updo as well. The last picture was taken when Will and Kate departed from the Solomon Islands for Tuvalu. Kate was wearing this pale yellow, broderie anglaise (again, like the first dress) dress by “an independent dressmaker,” with Stuart Weitzman “Minx” wedges and Kiki McDonough Citrine Drop earrings, the latter off which matched her frock perfectly. A perfect trio, in our opinion. And now for the fun stuff. Kate also broke it down while she was in Tuvulu with the ladies at the Vaiku Falekaupule entertainment bash. She wore a traditional feathered tutu and headdress over her Alice Temperley maxi, and shook those hips like a pro. Can’t wait to see it? We don’t blame you.
