As young people spend less and less of their time hitting the multiplexes and more and more of their time BitTorrenting movies to their whoozamawhatchits, Hollywood has (wisely) decided to make more movies aimed at people who don’t know the difference between a Kindle Fire and the kindle you use to make a fire. This weekend’s Last Vegas is a prime example of that release strategy; by casting near-geriatric leads like Morgan Freeman, Robert De Niro, Michael Douglas and Kevin Kline, the studio is clearly targeting an audience that’s more familiar with Social Security than social media.
