Tired of all the overhyped celebrities who somehow get us to care about their new relationship, talk show or album in 2013? Jealous of all the attention twerking has gotten, when you’ve been making it clap for years? Did selfies and Candy Crush ruin your friendships? It’s 2014, which means all this and more needs to go, no matter how much support it gets from James Franco.

Check out our list of people (Paula Deen, Kris Jenner) and practices (twerking, social media narcissism) that ruled the year that was, and join us in believing that they must be stopped. Immediately.

Friends who say “killing it”: you’re on notice.
