The big day is finally here, folks! The adaptation of John Green‘s The Fault In Our Stars hits big screens today, and the executives over at Kleenex are probably having the biggest celebration of their lives. Seriously, it’s about to be a national cry-fest up in here, so to get ourselves prepared we asked Shailene Woodley, Ansel Elgort, and the rest of the TFIOS cast which films make them sob like babies. It’ll make us feel less alone as we wail into our popcorn tonight!
Ansel went with the perennial weep-fest favorite, The Notebook, while friend-to-nature Shailene admitted that Homeward Bound was probably the first movie that made her cry (coincidentally, it was ours, too). The rest of the gang weighs in with some solid choices, but the absolute best moment has GOT to belong to Lauren Dern. She had to percular experience of watching the severed head of her own father (acting legend Bruce Dern) roll down a staircase! Ooof, that’ll land ya in therapy.
