Over the last 20 years, Leonardo DiCaprio made jaws drop in What’s Eating Gilbert Grape, melted hearts with Romeo + Juliet and Titanic, and has delivered one stellar, award-winning dramatic performance after another. DiCaprio’s résumé is one of Hollywood’s most impressive and with titular characters in J. Edgar (out today), The Great Gatsby (2012) and Sinatra (rumored, 2013), this über-A-lister isn’t slowing down any time soon.
Celebrate the 37th birthday of the ever-so-handsome Leo DiCaprio by taking a look back in photos.
Much to the delight of “Robsten” believers worldwide, as Today host Ann Curry congratulated Robert Pattinson on his many successes, she included snagging his “beautiful girlfriend.” While it’s pretty obvious at this point that he and Kristen Stewart are in a serious relationship (Bear and all!), we can’t help but get giddy when the subject is openly discussed. One mystery remains…did Ann Curry just naively bring up Kristen without knowing they were still playing the “secret lovers” game, or was it a strategic slip to make Rob (adorably) blush?
Tummy touches, leg grabs and teasing stares. We could focus on nothing else while perusing the photos from today’s Hand and Footprint Ceremony at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre. Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart (Oh yeah, Taylor Lautner was there too — sorry!) just about held hands and made out on Hollywood Boulevard today. OK, it wasn’t that close, but we can’t help eating up these adorable young lovers so gradually making their love public. While we totally respect Rob and Kristen’s desire to keep it their private life private, we’re humans who love Twilight and beautiful people. Swoon on, fellow Robsten fans!
Just in case the combo brewing in our bellies of anticipation and mourning for Breaking Dawn and the almost-end of the Twilight era wasn’t crushing enough, Summit dropped this nostalgia-filled bomb on us. The video recaps the series from the earliest days of Edward avoiding Bella’s delicious stink to leaving her crying in the woods to asking for her hand in marriage/vampirism, accompanied by insider commentary from the cast, director Bill Condon and author Stephenie Meyer.
We’re seriously shaking in our Bella-inspired sneakers to see Part 1 of the grand finale.
Jenny McCarthy hit the big time as 1994′s Playboy Playmate of the Year, but many of us became acquainted with her as the loud-mouthed, buxom host of MTV’s Singled Out. The combination of McCarthy’s vulgar sense of humor and pin-up good looks made her stand out in a sea of blonde actresses. She has since landed roles in numerous TV shows and films, but has made the most headlines through her Autism activism and controversial anti-vaccination stance. Politics aside, McCarthy turns 39 today and has never looked better. Let’s celebrate the bikini-lovin’ babe’s b-day with some eye candy. [Photos: MTV, Getty Images, Splash News Online]
From stealing our hearts as goth teenager Lydia Deetz in Beetlejuice to starring in cult classic Heathers to her famously sticky fingers in the early-00s, to reviving her A-List status as a retired and ragey dancer in Black Swan, Winona Ryder is an irrefutable big screen queen. We adore the doe-eyed lovably-looney actress and can think of no better way to celebrate her 40th birthday (Yes, 40. We’re all old farts.) than to take a trip down memory lane. With the exception of his recent dramatic (in our opinion, brilliant) performance in 50/50, we’ve grown accustomed to seeing Joseph Gordon-Levitt participating in happy dance flash mobs and doing round-off back handsprings every chance he gets. In The Dark Knight Rises, JGL plays a hardened Gotham detective hired to catch Batman. While that may seem to be a stretch for this fun-loving hunk, these shots from the set have convinced us he and his furrowed brow are fully prepared for the role. Like we needed to be any more excited for this movie.
When we first met Amanda Seyfried, she was an utterly clueless but lovable Mean Girl. The rising star has since sang alongside Meryl Streep in Mamma Mia!, paid the bills with rom-coms Dear John and Letters To Juliet, and revved Liam Neeson‘s engine in Chloe. Today, Seyfried ditches her trademark long blond hair and rocks a red wig, starring alongside Justin Timberlake in sci-fi thriller In Time. Whether she’s in character, on a red carpet or just walking her beloved dog, Finn, Seyfried’s always on point.
