The 2014 Oscars have come and gone, but lucky for us we have Instagram snapshots to last a lifetime. 12 Years a Slave‘s Lupita Nyong’o has been living a Cinderella-like fairy tale over the last few weeks, charming award show audiences with her poise and stealing the spotlight on red carpets with her stunning style choices. The whirlwind continued over Oscar weekend, where she schmoozed with some of Hollywood’s elite and even made a new friend. Hint: he’s gold and his name is Oscar.

This year, Oscar night was all about 12 Years a Slave‘s Lupita Nyong’o and Matthew McConaughey’s career makeover. But it’s also important to celebrate what those in the biz regard as a ginormous accomplishment: the EGOT. (That’s Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony Award). Robert Lopez is now a member of the prestigious club, thanks to his Best Original Song Oscar win for the infectious “Let It Go” from Frozen. He’s also the youngest person to ever achieve such a feat. Time to move over, Whoopi Goldberg. (Keep on working at your craft, Tracy Jordan.)
They may be big-shot nominees, but Benedict Cumberbatch reminds Bono and the guys of U2 not to take themselves too seriously on Oscar night. Besides, no one is immune to a photobomb at an award show–not even some of the biggest rock stars in the world.
The Academy Awards are officially underway, and we’re already drooling over Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves‘ sensational red carpet look. And then Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie showed up.
There’s no doubt Big Morning Buzz Live host Nick Lachey will put his bevy of talents on display come Monday morning. Seth Rogen went to Washington. D.C. on Wednesday, to speak before the Senate Appropriation Subcommittee on Labor, Health and Human Services about Alzheimer’s research. Like many members of Hollywood before him, Rogen is using his notoriety for good, and has a close connection to the disease that affects over five million people in the United States alone.
Nick Lachey kicks off a new season of our very own morning show, Big Morning Buzz Live, in just four days. New to the Big Apple, the talented performer is making the media rounds this week, in order to get to know his new neighbors and find out any necessary secrets to waking up before dawn. Thursday morning was time for Today, where Nick made hosts Natalie Morales, Tamron Hall and Willie Geist smile with his soothing and sweet lullabies.
After the coldest winter, Scandal returns tonight–hopefully with much more of Scott Foley in a towel. With a new season of House of Cards now available on Netflix and Homeland and Veep continually in the TV conversation, D.C.-centric shows are taking over our DVR. And we’re not exactly mad about that.
In Hollywood, there’s a contingent of talented actors for whom awards and endless praise from the film community are expected. Meryl Streep competes for her fourth Academy Award on Sunday night, and it’s been scientifically proven that she gets thanked more than God at these things. Each year some permutation of the same crew is expected to receive nominations and each year we rack our brains trying to figure out which one is more deserving of the coveted golden statue. Except when there are wildcards.
Since filing for divorce from Lamar Odom, Khloe Kardashian hasn’t shied away from the spotlight. She’s been cheering sister Kendall Jenner on at New York Fashion Week, promoting a new season of Keeping Up with the Kardashians and recently, she was spotted dancing all up on Game. Has she already moved on?
