When we last checked in with the
inmates housemates of Jersey Shore, the lovable Macaroni Rascals were preparing to ditch the rainy environs of Miami for the sunnier pastures of the native(ish) stomping grounds in Sleazeside Heights. As The Sitch so eloquently put it, “It’s over. Smile, take a drink, have a cigarette, have some brownies. Give the cat a meatball.”
So, after two months and change of feeding every stray feline that we’ve come across from the bag of meatballs we have kept at our side since The Situation implored us to, it’s almost time to spend the next dozen or so Thursdays glued to the TV watching the exploits of everyone’s favorite self-proclaimed guidos and guidettes: Sitch, Snooki, DJ Pauly D, Captain Smush, Sammi Sweetheart and J-WOWW. Oh, lest we forget, we bid a fond farewell to DJ Trashbagz last season, which means that it’s time to get acquainted with the Shore’s newest
Herpes victim cast member, Deena Cortese! We caught up with Snooki’s BFF and season three newbie earlier today when she popped by our offices here in NYC for an interview on Jump Start Live, our new morning show. We pressed the girl Sammi Sweetheart described as a “short little meatball” for answers on whether or not The Situation showed her his after she showed him hers, how she’s going to fare in the Jersey Shore Catchphrase Countdown, and what kind of guy classifies as a “Lean Cuisine.” Enjoy!

If you are a loyal viewer of morning video show Jump Start, you may have noticed something different happening from 10-11 a.m. each of the last three mornings. Instead of running a steady stream of music videos like we normally do, we just started airing a live morning show called Jump Start Live, hosted by Carrie Keagan. The hour-long show is chock full of celebrity interviews, saucy gossip, and features a healthy dose of expert commentary on the goings-on in the world of pop culture. There will be a brand new show every weekday morning from now until the Critics Choice Movie Awards, which are being broadcast live on VH1 on Friday, January 14 at 9pm.
If you haven’t watched the show yet, be sure to tune in to Jump Start Live tomorrow morning to see guests Reeve & Zane Carney (from Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark), followed by Josh Groban, whose musical spin on Kanye West’s tweets has quickly gone viral.
Until then, get yourself acquainted with Jump Start Live‘s host, Carrie Keagan. If she looks familiar, it’s probably because she hosted our red carpet festivities for the Critics’ Choice awards in both 2008 and 2009. You might also recognize her from numerous panel appearances on shows like Attack of the Show, Red Eye, and Chelsea Lately. And while we know that all of you read Playboy for the articles, you might also remember that Carrie was featured as the magazine’s Babe Of The Month back in July of 2008. In the video above, we get Carrie’s take on Hugh Hefner’s recent engagement, which celebs have behaved badly on the red carpet with her and much, much more!
rnrnAs we countdown the days until the 2011 Critics’ Choice Movie Awards — which, as a reminder, will be airing live on VH1 on Friday, January 14 at 9pm — we’ve been paying particular attention to the Twitter feeds of the Jackass guys. Earlier today, we got a tip that they would be filming some promos for the Critics’ Choice show that parody some of this year’s most popular and nominated films. While we’re not exactly sure which films they are parodying in these shots — based on the lawyer getups, our best guess is The Social Network — we’ll be sure to share the finished spots with you as soon as they’re wrapped!rnrn
If you predicted that one of Lady Gaga’s New Year’s resolutions for 2011 would be to keep her pants on, well, better luck next year! While you were busy recovering from your hangover on New Year’s Day, the queen of the Little Monsters sent out a tweet to her 7.5 million followers that read “THE SONG 2 13 11 THE RECORD 5 23 11.” Translation? Her song, “Born This Way,” will be dropping on February 13 and her highly anticipated album of the same name on May 23. She also included a Twitpic (above left) that we, being the classy and reputable site that we are, couldn’t republish without pixelating. Normally, we’d say “Let your imagination run wild,” but in the case of Lady Gaga (PHOTOS), it’s nothing we haven’t seen before.
rnrnEarlier this week, the doddering 84 year-old Viagra addict and certified creep Hugh Hefner got engaged to Crystal Harris, one of his employees who is some 60 years his junior. While many gold diggers wept openly in the streets after realizing that one of the world’s most eligible octogenerian bachelors is no longer on the market, we felt particularly sympathetic for one Holly Madison, Hef’s former #1 girlfriend. After all, not only was she the star of the Girls Next Door — easily his company’s most successful project of the last twenty years — but she also had to frequently let Hef invade her in the holiest of holies.rnrnFor more gross details, read on.rn Read more…
rnrnCompared to the very public struggles with drugs and eating disorders that the Olsen Twins went through, Full House star Candace Cameron Bure’s life always seemed to be genuinely blessed: She got married early to former NHL superstar Valeri Bure, had three lovely children and still has an active career as the star of ABC Family’s Make It Or Break It. However, in her new book Reshaping It All, Candace reveals that she too battled bulimia in the mid-nineties near then end of Full House‘s popular run.rnrnCandace tells People that eating disorders often evolve into a “very dangerous cycle that can just start to consume your life and really take over.” She found herself binging and purging during the first few years of her marriage, but thanks to an improved eating regimen and pursuing a more spiritual lifestyle, she was able to conquer her demons. We think this calls for a celebration. Pizza party, anyone?
The bikini parade in Los Cabos, Mexico continues! After spending much of yesterday soaking up the rays in a skimpy two piece, former Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue model Molly Sims decided she’d switch things up a bit today. No, silly, she didn’t switch to a one-piece (or even a monokini); rather, she wore pink instead of purple. What range of pastel colors will tomorrow bring? We are holding our breath in anticipation!

rnrnAfter months of investigation, the National Football League has decided to fine Brett Favre $50,000 for not being “candid” during the investigation as to whether or not he sent lewd pictures of his junk to New York Jets sideline reporter Jenn Sterger. The Minnesota Vikings quarterback and NFL legend managed to avoid a sexual harassment suspension because there was not enough forensic evidence to determine whether pictures of said junk was actually Favre’s, um, unit. However, if the pictures that Deadspin published were actually of Favre’s dong, we can rightfully determine that the NFL fined him roughly $16,667 for every inch of penis he sexted to Sterger.rnrn[Photos: Getty Images]
