Are you the sort of person who scrolls down to see what shoes celebrities are wearing when you see an outfit that interests you? Then this is the list for you. Even if you aren’t a shoe fanatic, this is still a fun exercise, to be honest. We’ve compiled together our list of the top 25 most drool-worthy heels, platforms and boots spotted on celebrities in 2012. And to make it even more interesting, when you visit the gallery below, we’ve put pictures of the shoes first, with the celebrity reveal right after, so you can have a go at guessing who the gorgeous heel, platform, pump, bootie or boot belongs to! The caption on each celebrity reveal will also tell you what brand the shoe is and where and when it was worn. All our favourite celebrities are in there: Beyonce, Kristen Stewart, Emma Stone and a whole host more.

A couple of spoilers, though. We won’t tell you the color of the shoes so you can still have a guess when you look through the pictures. We adore Mila Kunis‘ Christian Louboutin ‘Pigalle’ and Miley Cyrus‘ Jimmy Choo ‘Tippi” pumps, respectively. Bella Thorne‘s Miu Miu platform booties are to die for, as are Rooney Mara‘s YSL ‘Tribtoo’ slingbacks. Have a blast figuring out which is which. We wish you a happy and well-heeled rest of 2012!
If this isn’t proof that Amanda Seyfried could potentially be the coolest BFF ever, we don’t know what is. Not only can Ms. Amanda wear the hell out of a gown — McQueen, no less — but she looks like the sort of gal who could kick back a couple of tequilas and karaoke the hell out of a microphone. What’s not to love? Oh yeah, this. She may be one of the most gorgeous faces on screen at the moment, but she isn’t afraid to poke fun of herself. For example, she thinks nothing of throwing on a frog mask on national television. How do we know all of this? Not because we’re hanging with Amanda, sadly, but because that’s exactly what she did on The Ellen DeGeneres Showyesterday. Minus the tequila. Or with tequila in her system, who knows. Ellen found out that the whole Les Miserables cast had gone out for a spot of karaoke while they were in Tokyo, Japan on promotional duties. Amanda admitted that she had done her bit on the mic after a couple of rounds of sake, dressed as a frog, natch. And Ellen isn’t anything if not well-prepared, so out came a frogs head costume and some sake. Sake, tequila: booze equals booze. This bascially turned into Amanda rapping California Love by Tupac, dressed in said frogs head. The clip’s above, for your viewing pleasure. It’s the best thing E.V.E.R.
It’s premiere and chat show central for Kristen Stewart these days. She was on the circuit for Twilight a lot over the last couple of months, but lets not forget that On The Road is also part of her circuit. She made an appearance on The Daily Show yesterday dressed in the outfit you see on the right — perfectly leggy to show off those amazo stems of her. We actually love the dress, which is a perfectly slouchy beige and shell striped dress by Beckley. The blazer that’s covering said dress is by Band of Outsiders. And she’s working the wavy, windblown hair and makeup.
She also made a huge splash later that night at the On the Road premiere at the SVA Theater in New York City. The whole bright outfit has an island feel to it with pops of juicy color. The icy blue satin and lace overlay dress is by Erdem, and from the front, it looks like she’s wearing a vintage hight-waisted swimsuit beneath the lacy sheath. The back is a whole different story, as you can see, it’s a full blown dress and not a two-piece. The whole ensemble gives her a retro pin-up kind of vibe, especially because of how her figure looks in it, and because of the use of pale pink lipstick. Are we feeling the lace with the fucshia detailing? We’re not sure. We’d probably dislike it on anyone other than Kristen. What’s really pushing us to like this outfit are those neon orange Christian Louboutin pumps she has on. You have to love her for taking these risks, right?
We may not have the big bucks to get the fancy blowouts celebrities get done by the best hairstylists, but there’s at least one thing we can get that puts us in the same league. Hair accessories, which have been huge this year! Floral head-pieces, sparkling stars, crystal hair-bows, and minimal metallic headbands have been all the rage and spotted on the likes of Katy Perry, Kristen Stewart, Charlize Theron and Jennifer Lawrence. And plenty more, but we’ve culled out our top 15 looks for you out of all of 2012.

A couple of stand-outs for us. Sarah Jessica Parker‘s custom Mickey Mouse ears made by L’Wren Scott, worn when she hosted the Barneys New York And Disney Electric Holiday Window Unveiling in November, were to die for. Emma Stone‘s delicate gold Jennifer Behr laurel leaf bandeaux worn at the The Amazing Spider-Man premiere at Oktyabr cinema hall in Moscow in June had us floored. Chloe Moretz also wore a darling crystal hair-bow at the National Board of Review Awards gala in January that wasn’t just age-appropriate. We insist it’s appropriate for every age. Which means a 30-year-old woman (i.e. this writer) gets to wear one and not feel like we’re edging in on a 14-year-old’s style territory! Feel free to pore through our gallery for the rest of the looks!
The first thing that hit us (pun unintended) about this story is that you don’t mess with The Hunger Games‘ Gale. TMZ just posted this video that’s kind of shocking to us. It’s a shaky clip, but it’s of Liam Hemsworth beating up a guy on a street in Philadelphia early Sunday morning as the actor left a bar there. Sources on the scene told the site that Liam thought the guy who got smacked down — his name is Rob, as revealed in another video — had thrown a rock at him and his pal. When Liam confronted Rob, things got heavy. This is by no means an equal fight because the dude is getting totally slammed by Liam. We wish we could get a closer look, but whoever took the video is moving around too much. It ends when cop sirens start blaring. The second video also shows how drunk this guy Rob is, and he really doesn’t get that he got his butt handed to him by Liam. Since there are no updates from Liam’s people just yet, we’re going to wait for more details. Was Liam provoked? Or was this just a drunken brawl that shouldn’t have gone down?
We’ve already seen Kristen Stewart doing her thing and speaking on stage to support 121212, a concert benefiting the Robin Hood Relief Fund to help the victims of Hurricane Sandy, held at Madison Square Garden in New York City yesterday. But she wasn’t the only celebrity who turned up to lend their voices. Like Blake Lively, who looked lovely in an orange Isabel Marant dress with caged Christian Louboutin ankle booties and Lorraine Schwartz jewelry. Diddy was there too, as was Olivia Wilde, who wore skinny jeans and an awesome pair of red studded pumps. We’re guessing those are Louboutins too.
Katie Holmes showed up in head-to-toe Tom Ford in a pretty interesting cut-velvet, electric violet dress. Susan Sarandon was age-defying as usual, in all black, with a snazzy fitted zippered jacket. Martha Stewart even wore leather pants! Zosia Mamet puzzles us. She’s one of our favorite characters on Girls and seems hysterically funny but is always so taciturn in photographs. Like, this is a great cause … lighten up and smile a little! It’s okay that your pants don’t fit and your shirt’s making us drowsy. Chelsea Clinton was on the other side of the spectrum, looking polished and with a smile that didn’t leave her face, just like Gina Gershon, only the latter stuck to her usual rock chic and bedhead. She does work it, though! Read more…
What a great cause to be a part of. We all know that Kristen Stewart doesn’t feel exactly comfortable giving any sort of speech on stage — awards shows have proven this — so the fact that she did this, and did well, deserves applause. The actress participated in “12-12-12″, a concert benefiting The Robin Hood Relief Fund to help the victims of Hurricane Sandy, which was held at Madison Square Garden in New York City yesterday. “I’m here to talk to you about New Jersey tonight …” she said on stage, as she took over from Billy Crystal launching into an articulate, sincere speech about the statistics of the damage done in the area, before handing over to Jon Bon Jovi. Awesome job, KStew! We just can’t understand why she wore a neon jogging shorts-suit while saying it? With a collared shirt? Watch the video of speech right below.
It’s been game on between Amanda Seyfried and Anne Hathaway with all the promotional events surrounding Les Miserables. Amanda just scored herself another win with this InStyle January 2013 cover because she looks so … polished. That’s the word we’re going for because it’s so appropriate considering she’s wearing such a genteel powder-blue Chanel bodysuit and skirt, and not to mention those gorgeous silver Jimmy Choos. We vote her hair as the most covetable of the year as well because it’s giving us serious follicle envy! Luckily, and predictably — because we love her potty mouth — the interview inside the magazine isn’t as genteel as the cover. She’s talking about the nude scenes she’s done for Lovelace and about the fact that they’re really, erm, believable. “It’s not about my body. It’s not about me.,” she says. “You’re playing somebody else. You’re not going to believe a love scene if the people are dressed. You’re not going to believe a stripper who has on a bra and underwear the whole time.” Guess that means we’re to expect no bra or underwear. She’s also talking about her lovelife and harks back to her time (well-spent) with one Mister Josh Hartnett. Remember that phase? Her hilarious quote reads, “I can’t date anybody without it being portrayed as a serious relationship in the tabloids. It sucks! Like Josh Hartnett and I were friends; we hung out, we dated. I don’t actually have sex with every male I come into contact with.” Amanda … never change.
Our hearts are really going out to Miley Cyrus right now. Her beloved dog Lila Blue just passed away and the singer’s taking it really hard. We’ve all been privy to Miley’s tweets about her pooch over the last couple of years, including lots of adorable pictures like the one you see above of the two of them. Lila was quite ill in October this year and Miley asked for prayers to be sent to her, typing a message on Twitter that read, “Please pray for my baby girl Lila. She is in the hospital. I am so heart broken. Please send out vibes for her to not be afraid & to heal.” Now that she’s gone, Miley’s really sad tweets read, “for everyone asking… I have never been so hurt in my life. My heart has never been so broken….. Lila my sweet baby girl has passed away.” The previous one said, “can’t think of one good reason to get out of bed today…. ” We’re feeling her pain right now, truly. It’s really awful when one’s pet dies. Huge hugs to Miley and her family. The tweet below makes us tear up a little.
It’s time for out next edition of fashion stories. We’ve done two rounds previously with Kristen Stewart, Alicia Keys, Liv Tyler and Taylor Swift, Jessica Biel and Justin Bieber respectively. We’re really excited about this lot too. The point of these posts is to link together various looks of celebrities around the globe in one day — ensembles that get us going. The first is Naomi Watts at the L.A. premiere of The Impossible. Naomi wore a stunning floral-print Zac Posen gown with Jimmy Choo shoes, J/Hadley earrings and a Jennifer Meyer ring and bracelet. The gown had a soft, draped back too, and she complemented the vintage silhouette with pin-curled ’40s hair. Next up is Jessica Stroup who surprised us with what she wore to the 7th Annual Charity: Ball Gala in New York City with a flowing, gauzy gold gown that was gathered at the waist. It was dramatic, appropriate and totally stunning. Lastly, we have British actress, Rosamund Pike in a bright yellow Alexander McQueen Spring 2013 gown at the world premiere of Jack Reacher held at the Odeon Leicester Square in London. How can you not love this look? And please have Rosamund on your radars because not only is she beautiful, but she was also hot enough to be a Bond girl for Pierce Brosnan, remember? She’s certainly dressed to kill in this gown! Which one’s your favorite look?
