Anyone who’s played Khal Drogo in Game Of Thrones and Conan in Conan The Barbarian in one lifetime has to deal with the fact that they have to stay ridiculously ripped forever. Because Drogo or Conan can’t be seen with a beer gut, period. That would break too many hearts. Luckily, the actor to who those roles were bequeathed to, Jason Momoa, seems to be perma-fit. Confession: we used to watch him in Baywatch: Hawaii. In fact, he was the only reason why we watched that show. Naturally, people are curious as to how he stays so buff all the time, because that man was born to be shirtless (sorry, Taylor Lautner.) TMZ found him outside a hotel and peppered him with questions, about his new, shorter, hair for instance. His wry reply was, “I lost a bet.” Then came the workout questions. Does he do cross-fit? Does he lift heavy weights? The response was in the negative to all of them. He finally answered with the best celebrity response we’ve heard in a very long time. Jason Momoa says the secret to his exercise regime is, “I f— a lot.” He said that — on camera. If you don’t believe us, you can see it for yourself in the video above. But wear headphones if you’re at work because naturally, it’s NSFW!

Just last week, the new Mercedes Super Bowl ad was all about Kate Upton washing the swankin’ new car in slow motion. Of course, there was talk of it being pulled off the air because it was too sexy for audiences. Has that talk achieved its purpose? Because the extended cut of the advertisement — see it above — has been released and there’s a lot less Kate in it, and she’s also a lot more clothed! At the same time, we love this ad and you will too, even with Kate being in it for five seconds. Set to the soundtrack of Sympathy For The Devil by The Rolling Stones, the story’s about your regular, everyday Joe being tempted in the form of the always awesome Willem Dafoe, portraying Lucifer. Lucifer offers him everything — money, beautiful women (that’s where a Marilyn Monroe-esque Kate is featured,) fame (he parties and dances with Usher) and the fast life. Will average Joe take up the offer? That remains to be seen. Watch the video!
This one’s going to be a collector’s item. The legendary photographer, Bruce Weber, has shot Vanity Fair‘s 19th Hollywood Portfolio (out in March) which not only features Emma Stone, Bradley Cooper and Ben Affleck on the cover, it has a gorgeous spread of stars — 75 in all — in vintage poses inside as well. All of them were photographed in spots that have been featured in some memorable movies making the areas themselves legendary, much like the films they were spotted in. The bed on the cover, for instance, is the bed that’s part of that famous scene in The Godfather (1972), where the movie producer wakes up with his horse’s head in it. And the bed’s in the mansion used in the film as well, so you have the real deal. Some of these photographers are truly breathtaking. Kerry Washington looking like a gorgeous Old Hollywood singer, Olivia Wilde in vintage showgirl gear, Armie Hammer like a lonely ’50s naval captain with a couple of hours to spare before he has to set sail again — Weber’s put together a portfolio that has the sepia tint of Hollywood nostalgia firmly, but perfectly in place. Bella Heathcote and Eddie Redmayne dressed up (and dancing) like Fred and Ginger with a gorilla in their midst is another sight to behold. Make sure you check out the behind-the-scenes shots of celebrities like Selena Gomez and Brad caught between shots.

We’ve been seeing a lot of black lace popping up on celebrities over at the West Coast all week. And to our delight, none of them have made the fabric seem Morticia Adams at all. Do we smell a trend? It started with Jessica Alba at the Producer’s Guild Awards during the weekend at the Beverly Hilton wearing a sexy Elie Saab Fall 2012 Couture gown. Snazzy color was provided through her purple Roger Vivier clutch, her mint green nails and her pink lipstick. We were also thrilled to see Catherine Zeta-Jones take on a black lace sheath with a fringed hemline, by Emilio Pucci from the Fall 2011 collection. CZJ wore the sexy outfit for a stint on the Tonight Show With Jay Leno in Burbank, California, day before yesterday. Next up, we have the Aussie stunner Teresa Palmer wearing a sweeping, dramatic black lace gown by Philip Armstrong, which plunged down the front. She wore it to the premiere of Warm Bodies yesterday in Hollywood, and styled it up with a silver Judith Leiber clutch and heavy-duty Jacob & Co. diamond stud earrings and bracelet. Lastly, we have the lovely Hannah Simone at co-star Zooey Deschanel‘s Glamour Cover Girl bash in West Hollywood, California, wearing an elegant black lace, cap-sleeve dress from Theia’s Fall 2012 collection. Now do you see why we sense a trend? Comment on your favorite look!

HEY, L.A. — are you ready for Lindsay Lohan? Because she sure as hell wasn’t ready for you. Seriously, if L.L. had her way, she’d still be in New York, shopping in SoHo while pretending to be sick with the ‘flu. L.L was supposed to be in L.A. to make a court date today, and we’re losing count of the reasons why — we’re guessing this was for her car accident last year. But the wacktress tried to wiggle out of making her court appearance, as did her new lawyer, Mark Heller, by submitting a doctor’s note saying Lindz was too ill to fly with an “upper respiratory infection.” We would have been inclined to somewhat believe her had she not been photographed on her shopping spree, smoking, the very same day. Basically, it’s “my dog ate my homework.”
Anyhoo, the judge would have none of it, and TMZ gave L.L. a heads-up that she would be arrested if she wouldn’t show. So the end result is, the photograph you see above is of Lindsay at JFK about to fly American Airlines first class to L.A. to make that court date. Now, will she make the morning call time? Will there be a tyre puncture? Or getting locked in her bathroom? Or some other excuse? We’ll have to wait and see this A.M. Her new lawyer hasn’t even been approved by the judge yet to represent Lindsay, so there’s a lot that could go wrong today.

We’ve already obsessed about Kiernan Shipka‘s wardrobe once before. No, you don’t have to remind us that obsessing over a 13-year-old’s sartorial choices is weird, because we already know it is. But can you blame us? Can you blame yourself, because we know you’ve sighed over her Miu Miu raspberry peep-toes more than once. When we looked at our past coverage of Kiernan, we realized she’s been on more best-dressed lists consistently than any other star on the blog. The last we saw her was at the SAG Awards, which happened on Sunday night, and — you guessed it — she made it to the best-dressed list once again. She came in somewhere very close to the top wearing a stunning, age-appropriate Oscar de la Renta midi, flared dress with darling silver shoes by the same designer. And if a 13-year-old wearing Oscar wasn’t too much to handle, how about this behind-the-scenes SAG Awards diary that Who What Wear published about her to really got those jealous juices flowing? Featuring some beautifully lit, ridiculously glamorous shots of the young star, it also helpfully informed us that not only was Kiernan wearing a hell of a lot of Oscar, she was also wearing Forevermark jewelry and was styled for the event by none other than Rachel Zoe‘s team. And no, envy is not becoming on any of us, but …

We’re finding this cover shot of Dakota Fanning for the March issue of Glamour completely startling. Shot by fashion photography stalwart, Ellen Von Unwerth, the shot, and the spread inside the magazine, has Dakota looking like an artfully dishevelled disco doll. Tumbling curls, huge blue eyes, a red pout and a slinky, yet retro wardrobe all add to the look beautifully. While the interview focuses a lot on fashion and her sister Elle Fanning and so on and so forth, there’s a certain section that really caught our eye. Do you remember Dakota’s fragrace campaign for Marc Jacobs from 2011? Taken when she was 17, it had a whole Lolita vibe to it with Dakota sitting with the bottle (which has a large rose for a cap) between her legs. While a poll we posted revealed a number of you though it was okay, we still think it was super sexual for someone so young and it seems the U.K. agreed with us, banning the ad for being too provocative, pushing it in our list of the most controversial celebrity campaigns. But the actress herself thinks that the whole kerfuffle had no base, telling the magazine, “Yeah, I was! If you want to read something into a perfume bottle, then I guess you can. But it’s also like, Why are you making it about that, you creep? I love Marc and trust him, and we just laughed about it.” Which makes us the “creep”, but whatever.
The point is, Dakota’s now 18 (19 next month) and this extremely sexy shoot is deemed “high-fashion” and not creepy, leading some to ponder on whether industry standards are hypocritical. How does this shoot differ from that shoot? Well, the Jacobs fragrance was called “Oh Lola” which is a clear reference to Lolita, so let’s not be coy about the not-so-subliminal messages, especially with her wearing that babydoll dress. Dakota is older now and this shoot is sexy but in an exaggerated, almost caricatured way. There’s a deliberate sense of artifice, while the fragrance campaign was stripped down and “real.” We can appreciate the Glamour shoot as a look, and not because things are placed between her legs. And yes, she’s legal now which does make a huge difference. Don’t get it twisted.

While this happened a couple of days ago, the news has just leaked now, and we’re supremely glad it did. Nothing like the news of young, hot stars getting together to start the day, right? Before you think we’re sounding jaded, let us tell you that the young birds we’re talking about are Shailene Woodley and Shiloh Fernandez. And we love us some Shailene, so no, we’re not being snippy about this. Shiloh — we remember him being the testosterone-y cuteness to Amanda Seyfried‘s Red Riding Hood a while ago, so way to pop back on the radar, dude! From the photographs you see above, taken at the Hyde Lounge in Park City in Utah during Sundance, it’s easy to confer that the two are close. Most would say that it’s because the two actors are co-stars in the upcoming film, White Bird in a Blizzard, where they play each other’ love interests, US Weekly reports that there’s more here than meets the eye. From their ever-present sources, one reveals, “They danced until 2 a.m. and ended up making out at the end of the night.” So, “close” would be an understatement. But the real question is: are they just a Sundance hook-up, or are they heading to couple-town? Weigh in, and let us know what you think?

Way to up the glamour factor, ladies. Nothing like a hit of precious metal done really well at an awards show, right? So we must all bow down and thank Jennifer Garner and Naomi Watts for providing that high-voltage hit for all of us at last night’s SAG Awards. Jennifer was more fabulous than we’ve seen her in years, wearing a strapless gold Oscar de la Renta Pre-Fall 2013 gown. The actress worked it with soft, burnished curls framing her face, gorgeous glowing skin and a rose lip — hallelujah, because her hair and makeup normally lets her down. A matching dull gold clutch and David Webb jewelry completed the look. Look at the embroidery, beading and sequins on the gown. It’s so beautifully done and such a strong statement to make — I’m effing amazing and I know it and so do you. Naomi was the silver to Jen’s gold but no less exquisite. Soft waves swept over one shoulder a beautiful matte pink totally complemented her shimmering, intricate, crystal and silver embroidered Marchesa gown. And like Jennifer, she also matched her little box clutch with her gown with the addition of Faberge jewelry, of which her sapphire ring made our eyes pop (look at her left hand, helpfully placed on her hip.) We really can’t choose who looked best, so you’re going to have to vote and do it for us.

This is totally ruining our high over the SAG Awards best-dressed list, but it has to be done. Also, how is it possible that Anne Hathaway swings so wildly between getting it so right, and so wrong — nothing in between. Sadly, she got it so wrong at the awards show last night wearing a twee, frothy, half-sheer Giambattista Valli Couture dress that just didn’t do anything for us apart from making us say, “Why, Anne?” We do love her accessories in the form of her Jimmy Choo ‘Kalpa’ heels and her black Edie Parker clutch. We may be a tad harsh on Jessica Chastain as well — but it’s only because her people never seem to get fits right on her. The red McQueen gown maybe a beautiful, but it looks like it wants to crush her breasts, and to add insult to injury, it looks rumpled. We really don’t like the Harry Winston diamond necklace on her, either. It’s the wrong piece for the dress. Also, twee and in the same color, was Kaley Cuoco whose red lace Ramona Kaveeza dress made her look like a doily, even though her red velvet Giuseppe Zanotti heels gave her cred. Does anyone else think the new haircut with the bangs looks like a wig?
Rose Byrne was the wrong woman for her Valentino Resort 2013 gown because the fabric and the ruffles made her look matronly. And while her hair and makeup were sweet and retro, Claire Danes went in the opposite direction with deep maroon lips that just looked incredibly harsh on her. They put us off, and her black Givenchy didn’t exactly impress either. Neither did Julianne Moore‘s Chanel Couture Fall 2011 gown, which like Jessica’s, had a major fit problem as well. Let’s just say the bodice took its cues from the name of the awards show and made her look like she was sagging. There’s more on the list, so carry on to the gallery to have a look.
