We’re used to seeing the most absolutely delicious photos of Ryan Lochte. Those chiseled abs, that million-dollar smile, those eyes that look right through to our souls…that happens for you guys too, right? We thought so. Well our boy Ry is turning 28 today! And what’s he doing to celebrate? Well, his run in the 2012 Olympics is over after receiving silver in the 200m individual medley and bronze in the 200m backstroke on Thursday, so he’ll be cheering on his fellow team USA competitors. Even though he calls his results in London just “a little above average,” he really does make us so proud. He is coming home with two golds, two silvers and one bronze, not to mention a “Call Me Maybe” parody and a tweet of support from his all time fave, Lil Wayne (maybe Weezy heard our plea.)
We have learned that Lochte may not be the best rep from men’s swimming to interview, but he is one of the most successful! On top of his collection of medals, Lochte also fancies himself a designer with the limited edition line of footwear that he put together with Speedo (be sure to check out the green, rhinestone-encrusted high-tops). But what’s one thing we love the most about Lochte? It’s how he can pull off the most ridiculous facial expressions and still be totally charming! Whether it’s in the pool, on deck, in an interview or at a shoot, Lochte has shown us just how hot he really is even when caught on camera in the silliest of ways.
There’s nothing more aw-worthy than seeing celebrities from different industries become fans of each other. Justin Bieber tweeted at U.S. Olympic swimmer, Missy Franklin today that he heard that she’s a fan of his. “Now im a fan of hers too. CONGRATS on winning GOLD!” and added the very adorable “#muchlove” tag. We wish we saw more of this celeb interaction! Athletes are glued to their headphones before competition to get pumped up in London and some Olympians have confessed their love for certain artists. What we’d like to see is these artists responding with support for the folks who are seriously earning their celebrity status this summer.
Ryan Lochte loves Lil Wayne. How much so, you ask? Well, Wayne’s song “Sky’s the Limit” is on Lochte’s pump-up playlist. Not only that but Lochte’s dog’s name is Carter, named after a certain Dwayne Michael Carter, aka rapper Lil Wayne. Oh, yeah, and there are those grills.
The Dream Team’s LeBron James loves Big K.R.I.T. James said that Big K.R.I.T’s song, “I Got This” “was one of [the Miami Heat's] theme songs this year.”
For those of you watching the Olympics for more than just the heat of the competition but also for the incredibly “fit” teams (we’ve been brushing up on our British slang), this post is for you! We love ourselves some hot athletes, and when they’re all on the same team, we’ll definitely be glued to our screens. Cue entrance for the gorgeous girls on the Netherlands’ field hockey team. The team plays on Tuesday against Japan, and we suggest you pencil them in! Yahoo! Sports has taken quite a liking to these girls as well.
Of course, you already know we can’t get enough of the impeccable (sorry) bods on the U.S. men’s swimming team. We have been loving all of the attention Michael Phelps and Ryan Lochte have been getting on all of the top hottest athletes lists, but make your own decision while watching the team compete again this afternoon.

Then have a look at the beautiful men’s water polo team from Australia. If you didn’t see them today, make sure too watch them compete tomorrow morning — we can’t even comprehend the amount of strength and endurance it takes to bob and weave and throw and block around the pool like that, but we can understand the very nice results. Last but not least, are the gorgeous ladies of the U.S. women’s track and field team, who will start competing August 3. Check out their fan page for tons of photos and videos of these Olympians, and then take a minute or two to vote. May the most gush-worthy team win!
We’ve all heard (or know first-hand) that parents of athletes can be a little enthusiastic about their kids’ sports. Well, that point was definitely proven last night as U.S. gymnast Aly Raisman’s parents watched her compete on the uneven bars during the Olympics qualifying round. Their twisting and turning deserves a medal of its own. We were more nervous watching them than watching the girls on the floor! We are so glad that Aly didn’t catch her parents’ routine while she was on the bars, or else we’re sure she would have ended up laughing along with us. Although, this is probably not the first time her parents have been moving right along with her. One of our favorite parts was when her dad let off steam in the end with that laugh/scream. We were right there with him! (Also, who is the genius who miked them?) Read more…
The 2012 Summer Olympic athletes aren’t the only ones who are going to need to hit the showers after competition, we’re going to need a cool down too! Olympians are bringing the heat to this summer’s games in London with scorching hot bods and impeccable bone structure to boot. And let us just say, we are damn proud to be Americans. So many of our top sexiest athletes hail from these United States. We clearly have an obsession with Ryan Lochte and don’t worry, he’s in there, but Michael Phelps, Andy Roddick, Hope Solo, Lolo Jones also make an appearance along with plenty of their fellow Team USA competitors that we can’t get enough of. And of course, what would the Olympic games be without sportsmanship? We also mixed in plenty of foreign flavor from Spain, Brazil, Norway and Switzerland amongst so many others. It’s taking everything we’ve got not to book our flights to London while simultaneously writing this post. All hail the hotties sprinting, jumping, dunking, swimming, kicking, rowing, serving, and working their spectacular butts off. Viewers, you are going to need a towel and a glass of water for this one…
The glamorous and gorgeous Jennifer Lopez seems to get more beautiful every day and today she turns 43! We first fell in love with the Bronx beauty as a Fly Girl on In Living Color, and now she’s made her mark on the world as an unstoppable power woman (not to mention, mom of two) and international superstar. She gained recognition starring in tons of movies in the late ’90s and early ’00s including Money Train, Out of Sight, The Wedding Planner and Maid in Manhattan. When her second album, J.Lo, came out, it was #1 on the Billboard charts the same exact week that her film, The Wedding Planner led in the box office. This made her the first person to achieve a #1 film and a #1 album in the same week. We are not worthy, Ms. Lopez. Oh, and did we mention that she is still kicking ass? Even though we’re sad to see her leave American Idol, we’re happy to see that she’s taking the time to focus on her music. She’s super busy packing arenas on her world tour with Enrique Iglesias, but then she’s going take a break from her non-stop schedule to premiere her new video for “Goin’ In” featuring Flo Rida on MTV tomorrow at 7:50 p.m. ET.
For her 43rd birthday, we want to take a look back on her through the years. She’s done so much in the time she’s spent in the spotlight and we’re always looking forward to seeing more from her.
Wingardium leviosa! Levitating yet? Wait, let us try it again … wingardium leviosa-ahhh. Still not? Sorry, that’s the best we’ve got, looks like we need to get back to our spell books after this. Annnnywaay. Our favorite wizard is turning 23 today, and we couldn’t be more excited to draw some geeky yet charming lightening bolts on our foreheads. We can’t believe how grown up Mr. Radcliffe has become! It’s hard to believe that the same boy who ran into the wall at Platform 9 3/4 in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone is the same man who gave us a major case of the heebie geebies in The Woman in Black(we still haven’t forgiven you for that). Daniel has climbed his way to the top through eight Harry Potter movies, various other silver screen appearances like his role in December Boys in 2007, and his Broadway roles in Equus and How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. No matter how hard we try, we’re still reluctant to picture him without Emma Watson and Rupert Grint by his side. If you’re as nostalgic as we are, we can’t offer you a Time-Turner, but we’ve got a gallery filled with Daniel pics, it’s the next best thing, right? So grab your owl and your wand and enjoy the show!

Our favorite Wizards of Waverly Place star has finally reached her 20s! Selena Gomez has grown up right before our eyes. We’ve loved her from from her years of flaunting a punky-girly-rock style on Disney Channel to rocking gorgeous floor-length gowns in music videos for songs like “Who Says.” She’s also graced the red carpet time and time again in some of the hottest evening wear that we totally covet (sometimes, maybe even more than we covet that boyfriend of hers).
We also love how Selena is more than just a gorgeous figure and pretty face. She’s become so invested with UNICEF and concerned about the devastating impact that lack of safe water has on children all over the world. And it’s great to see how her relationships with BFFs Taylor Swift and Ashley Tisdale are so important to her. But back to her wardrobe, we adore practically everything she wears! So much so, that to celebrate her 20th, we want to take a look back at some of her hottest looks.
Junior Australian hurdler, Michelle Jenneke, has gone viral with a unique dance routine that she performed at the starting line during the IAAF World Junior Championships in Barcelona last weekend. It was definitely an attempt to loosen up before the competition, but probably doubled as a way to distract her opponents in the most hilarious way. We laughed and took a huge sigh of relief when she won. We are so happy to see such enthusiasm! When it comes to athletics, we totally understand the importance of keeping a game face on when on the clock, but beforehand, this made us realize how much fun it is to see an athlete’s unique personality shining through! We really appreciate you kicking off this (what we’d like to be) trend, Michelle. There are tons of athletes that we’d like to see do a special dance for us. And with the Olympics growing nearer (Michelle’s not going, unfortunately), we can only dream. We’re looking at you, Ryan Lochte.
We so badly want to be looking forward to the Olympics! We want to support our favorite athletes as they all go for the gold. But there are some athletes that are really bumming us out instead — you know, the ones that are getting arrested for doing terrible, stupid and terribly stupid things. Dallas Cowboys wide receiver, Dez Bryant, is our most recent disappointment. After Dez’s mother made some desperate 911 calls saying that her son was “assaulting” her and that he refused to leave the house, Dez turned himself in to the police yesterday and was booked for assault, family violence, a Class A misdemeanor. At least he turned himself in, but really, who hurts their mother? We will never forgive him for this!
July 15 – Jason Kidd, 10-time NBA All Star point guard, got a DWI in Southampton on Sunday morning after crashing into a telephone pole.Hey Kidd, can you hear us now?
July 14 – Marshawn Lynch, who plays for the Seattle Seahawks, was arrested in his hometown for driving under the influence. This isn’t even a first offense! In 2008, he struck a pedestrian outside of a bar and drove off.
July 14 (yep, it was a great night)- Denver Broncos defensive end Elvis Dumervilwas arrested in Miami on a charge of aggravated assault with a firearm. That’s dumb and scary and … OK, we’ll stop that. Read more…
