Ke$ha Pees In The Street So That You’ll Feel Better About Yourself

Oh, Ke$ha. We love you because we secretly have been just like you at some point in our lives. Maybe it was just for a moment, or a year, but we can definitely look back and say, yep, we have wanted to dress in nothing but feathers and glitter, hoped the guy we met in a bar would just shut up and make out with us, written a hit song for Britney Spears and made our assistants dress in penis costumes for our amusement. And we definitely have had one or two desperate moments — stuck in traffic, wasted on St. Patrick’s Day, a Wednesday night in college, what have you — when we had no choice but to pee in the street. What we didn’t do was snap a photo of ourselves in the act and then tweet it out to the world. But maybe that’s just because we didn’t have Twitter at the time. Anyway, here is said amazing pic:

“pee pee on the street. PoPo come n get me if u can find meeee. I blame traffik,” the dollar-signed one tweeted late last night. And wherever she was, we sincerely hope the popo have better things to do with their time.

TheFABlife Is Now VH1 Celebrity … But Just As Fab As Ever

Greetings, faithful readers and readers who accidentally stumbled here! You’ve probably noticed that “here” is a little different from what it was yesterday. The blog formerly known as TheFABlife.com is now VH1 Celebrity.

What does that mean, exactly? Well, if you’ve been following us for the past couple of years, not too much. We’re all about bringing you the latest celebrity news and gossip; red-carpet, on-set and on-the-street photos with keen fashion analysis; interviews with your favorite stars; in-depth looks at the upcoming movies and TV shows we know you’ll love and, of course, our own special flavor of pop-culture commentary. The VH1 Celebrity name just seems to encompass all that a little better than TheFABlife.

The old @TheFABlife Twitter handle has switched over to @VH1Celebrity, so you’ll notice a different name in your feed too. Our Facebook page will change shortly. And you can look forward to some more exciting (currently top secret!) developments in the months to come.

New G.I. Joe: Retaliation Trailer: The Rock, Bruce Willis Help You Fight Flab For Summer!

Bikini season is coming soon, people, but you should not be worried. Dwayne Johnson’s G.I. Boot Camp will whip you into shape just in time. Oh, what’s that? This is the new trailer for G.I. Joe: Retaliation, not an ad for the Rock’s new workout program? Maaaaybe. We do seem to recall seeing a lot of explosions and robots and an evil robot president impersonator guy (and only 2 seconds of Channing Tatum, which should be a federal crime, but whatever). But mostly, what’s sticking in our mind is some major inspiration to hit the gym right now. Here are the basic selling points of the G.I. Joe workout:

Looking this good in a simple T-shirt is difficult, but it is the best way to rally a group around your rogue operation to save the world. Roadblock (Johnson) will show you how.

Justin Bieber, Writing A Song About Mariah Yeater Is Probably Not Your Wisest Move

Justin Bieber
says his new album is all about self expression, so much so that he wrote a song about the most controversial incident of his past year. “I’ve written a song about that whole situation with that girl who said she’s having my baby, Mariah Yeater. I’ve written about my mom, loads of things I’m going through,” he told Heat magazine at a listening party in London on Monday. This was just two days after he tweeted about Yeater with a link to a clip of Borat saying, “You will never get this.” Which, before that, most of us had pretty much forgotten all about her, hadn’t we? She dropped the paternity suit against him back in November, and he took the paternity test anyway. We assumed, and a PR expert agreed, that this was because he wanted to shut the story down for good. So why bring it up again, Justin? Doesn’t writing a song about a crazy chick you never met just kind of encourage more crazy chicks to come out of the woodwork, in the hopes that you’ll write songs about them one day, too?

Jennifer Hudson Tearfully Testifies: Family “Did Not Like” Accused Murderer

Our hearts go out to Jennifer Hudson today, after she took the stand to testify in the murder trial of her sister’s estranged husband, William Balfour, who is accused of murdering her mother, brother and nephew in 2008. Today is the first day of the trial in Chicago, and Hudson was one of the first witnesses for the prosecution. She spoke about how close she was to her mother, Darnell Donerson — they slept in the same bed until she was 16, and they spoke every day, which is how the singer/actress knew something was wrong on the morning the bodies of her mother and brother were found in their apartment.

“I noticed that — I’m looking to see the text from my mom and it wasn’t any,” she said, according to the Chicago Sun-Times. “I kept sitting there wondering, like that’s strange. That was the first thing I said, ‘My mom didn’t text me.’

“My sister called my fiance’s phone,” Hudson continued. “I remember it like yesterday, obviously. And he couldn’t understand what she was saying because she was so hysterical and I grabbed the phone form him and that’s when she told me.”

Giuliana And Bill Rancic Expecting Baby In Late Summer Of “The Year Of The Rancics”

We can’t help but feel like the ups and downs of Giuliana and Bill Rancic’s lives are actually the plot of a movie. She was a young Italian immigrant who learned English by watching TV and then grew up to become a TV news correspondent. He was a young entrepreneur who got his big break as the first winner of The Apprentice, and of course, they met when she interviewed him. (This fact is pretty funny when you consider how hard she still keeps flirting with George Clooney during interviews.) They tried to continue this televised fairy tale by publicly chronicling their attempts to have a baby, eventually through in vitro fertilization, and then kept the world in the loop when she had a miscarriage in 2010. They were looking into several other options this fall, which is what led to Giuliana discovering she had breast cancer. That was just last fall, but Giuliana was quickly back at work following her double mastectomy.

So, this nicely crafted story naturally continues with a high point: The couple announced today that they’re expecting their first child via a gestational carrier (a woman implanted with Giuliana’s fertilized egg). “The stars were aligned,” Bill told E! of how they chose the carrier. “It’s been tough to keep it a secret. We wanted to share it with the world, we wanted to share it with the viewers who watch the Giuliana & Bill show, who’ve been with us on our journey, but we’re finally comfortable now. The doctor gave us the green light to go ahead and tell the world and that’s what we’re going to do.

“It’s the year of the Rancics!” Bill continued. We’ll say!

Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson Get Their Coachella On With Katy Perry

Of course only after we gushed over seeing the likes of Alicia Silverstone, Joe Jonas and Twilight stars Nikki Reed and Elizabeth Reaser at week two of Coachella, two more amazing sightings come across our desk that kind of outshine the rest: Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart tucked in among the masses at the Beirut set on Sunday night — photographed together before they split up to thwart the paparazzi; and KStew backstage with Katy Perry during the Florence and the Machine set, where a fan snapped a pic and posted it on Instagram. And incidentally, Katy was evidently there to watch Florence guitarist Robert Ackroyd, with whom she was seen holding hands and kissing during the festival.

Robsten were also spotted together during the Radiohead set on Saturday. “They were kissing and holding hands during Radiohead, swaying and singing along to parts [of the songs],” a festivalgoer told Celebuzz.

We’re so happy the couple got to enjoy this downtime together before they have to compete against each other in the cutthroat Cannes Film Festival competition (that’s how that works, right?).

Girls: 10 Quotes We Love And Hate-Read From “Vagina Panic”

I had a little epiphany watching the second episode of Girls last night. This was because I watched an episode of Eastbound and Down right before it. We’re not really supposed to like these characters as much as we’re supposed to love-hate them, just like we do the male HBO comedy protagonists before them, Kenny Powers and Larry David. And we’re supposed to cringe at how much the terrible things they say remind us of the things we say in our heads and then think better of. Figuring that out made me enjoy “Vagina Panic” much more — and it makes me look forward to the episodes that haven’t been excerpted and dissected to death as much as the first two have been.

Here are the 10 quotes that had me cringing, nodding my head, laughing and cringing again, in order of cringyness.

10. “I’ve only had sex with two and a half men.” — Hannah, making us wonder just what the half was and hope that at least one of those men satisfied her at some point.

9. “Cobble Hill — that’s like grown up Brooklyn.” — Hannah, in the job interview with Mike Birbiglia, having a conversation only New Yorkers will get, kind of flaunting the fact that they’re having a conversation only New Yorkers will get.

8. “I’m going to admit that I’ve hate read that book.” — Hannah, on Listen Ladies, the self-help book Shoshanna reads to them. This whole scene is so Jezebel-baiting!

Earth Day Salute: The 10 Best Celebrity Eco Warrior Stories Of The Year

Happy Earth Day, everyone. We know you’re reading this post on your solar-powered laptop while on a break from cleaning litter off the beach or planting trees, right? Well, we’ll let you get back to work soon, but first, we just wanted to honor the environmentally minded celebrities who’ve inspired us to hug some trees this year. They are rich and have more free time than us to devote to green causes, sure, but they could be wasting all their cash on gas-guzzlers and paper plates and exotic animal hunting too. Here are 10 recent headlines that made us, and Mother Earth smile:

View Photo Gallery

10. Justin Bieber gets a Fisker Karma electric sports car for his birthday from manager Scooter Braun, presented to him on Ellen.

9. Miranda Kerr pledged to teach a free yoga class if at least 500 people joined her in pledging to do something for the environment on Earth Hour on March 31.

8. Channing Tatum demonstrated his exotic dancing skills onstage with Elton John at the Revlon Concert for the Rainforest.

7. Courtney Stodden shoots a video for PETA explaining why she’s a vegetarian: “You feel better within yourself because you know that you are not only saving animals, but you are actually helping the environment.”

6. Betty White and the Lifeline Program (a nonprofit for seniors) adopted a Malayan gharial crocodile in honor of Elton John for his 65th birthday. The croc will live in the L.A. Zoo, not John’s bathtub, BTW.

5. Meryl Streep narrates To the Arctic, a 3-D IMAX movie about a polar bear and her twin 7-month-old cubs.

4. Mark Ruffalo has been tirelessly speaking out against hydro-fracking, the controversial method of extracting natural gas, and even cofounded Water Defense for the cause. His recent appearance on The Colbert Report to talk about the issue was adorably earnest.

3. Ian Somerhalder’s efforts to help animals, the environment, bullied kids and just about everything else you can think of, through the Ian Somerhalder Foundation, is commendable. We like his recent suggestion that his Vampire Diaries character start driving a more eco-friendly car, since, you know, he plans to live for many more centuries.

2. Leonardo DiCaprio is another activist who makes it hard for us to pick just one related headline — his work to save tigers? elephants? coffee-growing regions of South and Central America?

1. Lucy Lawless is arrested after spending three days on top of an oil rig as part of a Greenpeace effort to prevent the ship from oil exploration in the Arctic.

Catching Fire Director Francis Lawrence: 5 Signs He’ll Do Right By Hunger Games Sequel

We’re not completely recovered from the loss of Gary Ross as director of The Hunger Games sequel, Catching Fire, due to scheduling constraints (they say). But last night we learned that Lionsgate has decided to hand the reins over to Francis Lawrence, the director of Water for Elephants and I Am Legend, and we are starting to calm down a little bit. No, he doesn’t have the Oscar-nominee pedigree as Ross. And none of his movies have received the kind of critical raves that Ross’ Seabiscuit and Pleasantville did. But his resume, which also includes a ton of amazing music videos (for everyone from Aerosmith to Justin Timberlake to Lady Gaga), contains some solid reassurance that he’ll be able to hold his own with Catching Fire.

1. He can do post-apocalyptic settings. See: I Am Legend.

2. He can do strong ladies wearing amazing costumes in post-apocalyptic settings. See: Beyonce’s “Run the World (Girls).”
