Common Wonders Who Will Make The Hell On Wheels Clothing Line

Even if you missed the premiere of AMC’s Hell on Wheels last night, you’ve probably seen the photos of Common looking considerably less smooth than usual. As freed slave Elam, he’s got a seriously scraggly beard and some of the dirtiest clothing this side of The Walking Dead‘s zombie wardrobe. VH1′s Melissa Smith sat down with the rapper/actor/controversial White House guest last week and asked if he and his castmates are just a wee bit jealous of the cast of that other AMC period drama, Mad Men.

“They get to be all fresh and get the Banana Republic endorsements — I wonder what type of endorsements we gonna get!” Common laughed, though he admitted that growing his beard out was kind of liberating. “At a certain point, I wasn’t even thinking about how I looked. It was like, you’re in Hell on Wheels; this is not pretty. This is dirty, this is rugged. I was walking around bearded, dirt, bugs be around, horses taking dumps. You just get immersed in the world of Hell on Wheels.”

Taio Cruz Gets Seriously Cool For Fall: Style Seen

Taio Cruz‘s “Dynamite” has been heating up clubs and your car stereo for a year and a half now, and it’s still guaranteed to get people jumping up and down and yelling “aaaay-oh!” But the English singer/songwriter/producer is much more than one club banger. And when he stopped by the VH1 offices to chat about his upcoming album, TY.O, on Big Morning Buzz Live, we could help but notice how his style gives him the air of a serious artist. Check out his whole autumn-in-New York ensemble up close after the jump.

Kim Kardashian In Minnesota Vs. SNL: Who Had The Best Performance?

“All week we’ve just been crying and crying and posing and crying and …,” Nasim Pedrad whined, playing Kim Kardashian in SNL‘s hilarious spoof of “Kim’s Fairytale Divorce” over the weekend. Our stomachs still hurt from laughing. But seriously, folks. We’re not sure if Nasim can match the real-life posing Kim did in front of husband-for-now Kris Humphries‘ house in Minnesota on Sunday.

She was photographed standing on his back porch, looking distressed while talking on her cell. Here’s the thing: We know the impulse to step outside when you want a minute alone to talk on the phone, especially after a fight with someone inside the house. But that is a big freaking house. There are many rooms in which she could probably talk in private. And obviously, if you’re Kim Kardashian, you know there are paparazzi outside, ready to catch your every gesture. So, color us cynical, but that phone call seems a little much.

Kat Dennings Is This Week’s Hotness!

At first, Kat Dennings laughed at us when we told her she was this week’s Hotness, after beating Zooey Deschanel by 70 percent to 30 percent. We love her ’cause she’s self-deprecating like that. Then we reminded her that she wore the dress below back in May, and she agreed. She is pretty hot.

Rob, Kristen, And Taylor’s 8 Cutest Breaking Dawn Livestream Moments

Last night, MTV News’ Josh Horowitz sat down with Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner for a half-hour livestream interview that involved a whole lot of squirming, talk of graphic sex and birth scenes, and nostalgia for the past three years of Twilight anticipation. Any event with all three stars is a treat to watch, and this one was no exception. We picked out eight adorable moments that perfectly illustrate their pack-like bond.

1.

Kristen teases Taylor, “Your hair was in the first one,” referring to the awkwardly wigged Jacob in Twilight. “My hair was in the first one. Thanks for reminding me,” he answers.

2.

Asked if we’re ever going to see that infamous first audition footage of Rob and Kristen on Catherine Hardwicke‘s bed, Rob replies, “It’s like the sex scene,” before realizing how that sounds.

Alicia Keys’ Black Ball Attacts Some Colorful Fashions

Last night, Alicia Keys continued her work to solve the AIDS crisis, hosting the 8th Annual Keep a Child Alive Black Ball at New York’s Hammerstein Ballroom. While helping to fund research, treatment and care for those affected by AIDS, the guest were treated to performances by the likes of Keys, Usher, Mary J. Blige, will.i.am and more. The evening also honored the late Beatle and philanthropist George Harrison. Our invite was surely lost in the mail, but we’re content to gaze upon the stars’ best red-carpet fashions. Check out the stunning (not all-black) looks worn by Tyra Banks, Chanel Iman, Kerry Washington and more in the gallery below.

Justin Bieber On Paternity Suit: ‘I’m Never Going To Be A Victim’

In an unusual move for a young pop star, Justin Bieber directly addressed the paternity allegations of Mariah Yeater on this morning’s Today show.

“I know that I’m going to be a target, but I’m never going to be a victim,” the 17-year-old told Matt Lauer of the claims that he fathered her 3-month-old son after a concert in L.A. last year. “It’s crazy because every night after the show, I’ve gone right from the stage right to my car. I never met the woman.”

Porky’s Star Wyatt Knight Dead Of Apparent Suicide

Step aside for a moment, nostalgic American Reunion trailer. Wyatt Knight, 56, who played Tommy in the original gross-out movie trilogy, Porky’s (known to us girls as “the movie where Kim Cattrall got her start playing sex-crazed bombshells”), was found dead in Maui last week, according to TMZ. His body was found near the home where he’d been staying, and police believe it was a suicide.

So, now, in Wyatt’s honor, we give you a choice: Watch the above trailer for Porky’s and relive a simpler time in movie history, when a film about boys looking to lose their virginity was a novel thing. Or, if you’re feeling a little more emo, watch Stages, the short black-and-white film Wyatt himself uploaded in 2008, in which he plays an out-of-work actor who works as a movie theater usher. (Sigh.)

Kim Kardashian Unfollows Kris Humphries On Twitter – Would You?

Talk about adding insult to injury. The New York Post noticed today that Kim Kardashian has unfollowed Kris Humphries on Twitter, even though he’s still following her. To be fair, his last post was on October 30, so maybe he’s just avoiding social-networking, or all Web activity, while he heals his broken heart. Don’t worry, Kris. Once you get back on your feet and embark on one of these promising new careers, you’ll have plenty of new loyal followers.

Interestingly, Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher raised eyebrows in September when they apparently unfollowed each other in the wake of his alleged jacuzzi dalliance — practically confirming the story. But we wonder, do most people unfollow their recent exes? Or is it better to keep tabs on them, just in case? Well, you tell us:

Christina Perri Matches Breaking Dawn Quote To “A Thousand Years”

We pose a lot of questions here at the FABlife. Rarely do we expect the actual subject of our questions to respond. But Christina Perri did just that! After her video for “A Thousand Years” premiered last week, we asked you to pick which Breaking Dawn quote went best with the song. Here’s Christina’s answer:

“The quote from the poll that most fits ‘A Thousand Years’ from the Twilight books is the one about pulling them together under the water forever and loving each other forever,” she told us, referring to this one, from the first night of their honeymoon: ” ‘Don’t be afraid,’ I murmured. ‘We belong together.’ … ‘Forever,’ he agreed, and then pulled us gently into deeper water.”

“I wrote ‘A Thousand Years’ about Edward and Bella being madly in love with each other for the past 1,000 years and for 1,000 more years and forever and ever and ever. So that quote fits the best!”

Makes sense to us. And who are we to argue with a girl with a Twilight-inspired tattoo?
