Ray Donovan‘s Pooch Hall Stops By Very VH1 To Chat With You

“To be honest with you [the Game fandom] hasn’t stopped. My fanbase has followed me over here, they want to see more of me as Daryll.” That’s what Ray Donovan star Pooch Hall told us on the phone last week. If that’s the case, then we know you’ll follow him to our Very VH1 Spreecast today, where you’ll be able to chat with the actor, who plays Jon Voight’s boxer son and Liev Schreiber’s half-brother on the Showtime drama, live — and see that gorgeous mug of his. Tune in right here at 2 pm ET/11 am PT, and be sure to click on those speech bubbles up top to write in your questions and join the conversation.

SNL’s Jay Pharoah Has Done His Jay-Z Impression During Sex

Sometimes we use our headlines to tease you and you have to read the whole story to find out what we’re talking about, but not here, not now. Because this is about exactly what we said: SNL’s Jay Pharoah told us during the Very VH1 Spreecast yesterday that he did his spot-on Jay-Z impersonation while getting it on. This may have been our favorite Spreecast moment ever.

Emmy Statements: Can You Guess The Celebrity Red Carpet Jewelry?

emmy-jewelry-main

We have mixed feelings about Sunday night’s Emmys — we’re generally happy about the winners, there were a few funny moments, and yeah, we cried a little too. But from a fashion perspective, our overall reaction was, “Meh.” Except when it came to the bold earrings, necklaces and boulder-size rings on some of the attendees. We imagine the carpet was crowded with bodyguards trailing million-dollar baubles on loan to the stars (we love imagining the heist in which someone pries a ring off Giuliana Rancic’s hand on live TV!). How well did you pay attention to the rocks and sparkles on your favorite celebs on Sunday night? Now’s your chance to test your knowledge, and get a closer look at these new jewelry trends.

First, who wore this tourmaline ring?

Wire, Treme Favorite Wendell Pierce Stops By Very VH1 Today

Maybe you know him as cigar-smoking, good-humored, oddly named Det. Bunk Moreland from The Wire. Or hardworking trombone player Antoine Batiste on Treme. Soon enough, you’ll be recognizing Wendell Pierce as Michael J. Fox’s newsroom boss on The Michael J. Fox Show. But today, you’ll know him as our very special guest on the Very VH1 Spreecast.

Join us at 1:45 pm ET right here and ask Wendell everything you’ve been dying to know about his shows, his Broadway work, growing up in New Orleans, working with Michael J. Fox and more. Click on the comments button on the upper right corner to participate.

Merritt Wever, Best Emmy Speech Giver, Wasn’t Even That Nervous On Sunday

“Thanks so much. Thank you so much. I gotta go. Bye.” We’re pretty sure Outstanding Supporting Actress winner Merritt Wever will be forever remembered for her awesomely short acceptance speech at the Emmys on Sunday night. The actress has been amusing Nurse Jackie fans for years as enthusiastic nurse Zoey Barkow — enough for her to beat out such faves as Sofia Vergara and Jane Krakowski. And her charm has made her New Girl character Elizabeth a very credible rival of model CeCe’s for Schmidt’s heart. Before her big win, our own Kate Spencer talked to Merritt on the red carpet.

Talk To Obama And Jay-Z Live! Or, At Least SNL’s Jay Pharoah On Very VH1

What will we do about Syria? How can we prevent another government shut down? Will Blue Ivy get a little brother or sister soon? OK, maybe Jay Pharoah won’t be able to answer for Hov and the president for real, but that won’t stop us from asking him when the Saturday Night Live star stops by our Very VH1 Spreecast today at 1 pm ET. Watch in the player above and click on the comment icon in the upper right corner to join in live!

We want to know SNL will be like without Fred Armisen, Jason Sudeikis and Bill Hader this year. And which of the new kids is getting hazed the most? Who is he most looking forward to spoofing? But you probably have even better questions. We’re counting on you!

Anna Chlumsky, Carrie Preston, Other Celebs Just As Obsessed With Big TV Deaths As We Are

Sure, we were kinda bummed out by all the tributes going on at the Emmys last night (not as bummed as by the deaths themselves, mind you), but to be fair, we’ve been a little morbid ourselves lately. Between the dramatic deaths on Breaking Bad, True Blood, Game of Thrones and Downton Abbey alone, we’ve been spending a lot of our virtual ink here in mourning. That’s why when our own Kate Spencer hit the Emmy red carpet, she asked the stars if they were as shocked as we were by these big departures — and how they’d like their own characters to go out.

Emmys Best Dressed: Anna Gunn And Sofia Vergara Know How To Fill Out Our Screens

2013 Emmys Best Dressed

The Emmys have never been the most daring of red carpet events — something about the fact that it nominates the same actors repeatedly, rather than ushering a new batch each year seems to be echoed in the fashion mood. So, no, we weren’t too surprised by the lack of fashion-forward choices at the 2013 show. Instead, we’re taking this moment to recognize ladies like Tina Fey, Anna Gunn, Christina Hendricks, Taylor Schilling and Sofia Vergara, who chose perfectly flattering gowns for the night.

Happy Birthday, Tom Felton! Celebrate With 25 Pics Of His Hairvolution

View Photo Gallery

Tom Felton turns a ripe old 26 today — so, yeah, Harry Potter fans, you’re going to be middle-aged soon. That also means it’s been years since he’s had to bleach his hair that awful Draco Malfoy blond. Sorry, some of you were perhaps drawn to that ‘do, in all its evil glory. We can’t really imagine spending our entire adolescence defined by such a distinctive style. (Though there are probably some perks that made up for it.)
