Brooklyn Nine-Nine’s Terry Crews Has A Word With Us About Being “Worst-Dressed”

Much has been said about the anonymity of the Internet making it much easier for us to insult people. Not much has been said about what to do when that anonymity is removed, and you’re met face to face with the 6-foot-3 former NFL star you poked a bit of fun at the week before. That’s why I’m relieved it was VH1 News’ Kate Spencer, not me, who met Terry Crews on the red carpet at the 2014 Golden Globe Awards last night, along with the rest of the cast of Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Because, it turns out, Crews was fully aware that we named him one of last week’s worst-dressed stars.

Matthew McConaughey, Amy Poehler + The Funniest Moments Of The 2014 Golden Globes

globes-moments-main

The 2014 Golden Globe Awards are all wrapped up, and we’re about ready to grab our own cocktails after spending the evening watching actors drink. But first, we decided we should probably help those of you who’ve been boozing it up all night remember what was ACTUALLY funny (not just beer goggles funny) about everyone’s favorite drunk awards show. Whether it was laughs scripted for hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, spontaneous live-show errors (sorry, Wolf of Wall Street girl we don’t know) or awesome victory speeches (Matthew McConaughey ftw), the Globes lived up to their reputation. Here we count down the 10 most hilarious moments. (Also, here are the best GIFs of the Golden Globes.)

Kerry Washington, Olivia Wilde + More: Which Bump Was Best Dressed At The Golden Globes?

View Photo Gallery

How refreshing (and utterly frustrating!) that Kerry Washington hasn’t said a word about her pregnancy until she showed up at tonight’s Golden Globes and called her bump “the best date of the night.” Her Balenciaga gown was Olivia Pope-worthy. But she wasn’t the only lady bringing her special glow to the red carpet tonight.

Lena Dunham’s Golden Globes Gown Vs. 2006 Michelle Williams: Who Wins In Yellow?

yellow-ladies

In the photos above, these two dresses — Michelle Williams‘ famous Vera Wang from the 2006 Oscars and Lena Dunhams Zac Posen gown from tonight’s Golden Globes — look much less similar than they did on our TV when we first glimpsed Lena. Still, we love the chance to do a little flashback to that bold canary yellow. Also, we kinda wish that Lena would take a look at Michelle’s example of how good some sleeves would look. We have tats, too, Lena, and we understand the impulse to show them off at every opportunity, but your figure could really benefit from a little more embellishment up top.

Are we wrong? Oh, just play along and vote — who wears yellow better?

Malin Akerman’s Boob Cage To Terry Crews’ Lounge Act: The Week’s Worst-Dressed

View Photo Gallery

We’re less than two weeks into the new year and still waiting for most stars to come out of hibernation and put their crazy getups on display — I mean, what are they afraid of, that they’ll appear in this post or something? That must be why they invented the People’s Choice Awards and the Palm Springs International Film Festival, to keep wacko fashions in the public eye at all times.

What Taylor Kitsch Texted Mark Wahlberg + Other Reasons Women Should See Lone Survivor

Let us be clear: Lone Survivor is a serious war movie, a brutal look at the violence of combat in Afghanistan based on the tragic true story as told by Navy SEALs veteran Marcus Luttrell. But even if, like us, you’re not normally into war movies, this movie from director Peter Berg deserves your attention, for reasons both serious and completely NOT. Take, for instance, Mark Wahlberg’s complaint (in the video above) about what went down between this all-male cast on location in the mountains of New Mexico.

While awards season has us still celebrating (and catching up on) the best movies of 2013, you’ll never keep up if you don’t start planning all the great flicks coming up in the next 12 months. To help you out, all of us here at VH1 have carefully selected the Zac Efron abs-baring, Meryl Streep-witch-starring, dystopian-teen-angsting, superhero-team-deploying films we can’t wait to see in 2014.

Heidi Klum’s Dance, Kat Dennings Boobs + More: People’s Choice Awards Most Awkward Moments

2-broke-girls

Awards season is ON, everyone. And even though most of the “unscripted” bits of tonight’s People’s Choice Awards were totally and completely scripted and rehearsed, it was a good warm up for the shows coming up in the next three months. In case you skipped out on the show assuming it was just going to be another excuse for CBS to promote its shows (how dare you!), we’ve gathered the best jokes, flirtatious banter and bad dancing by hosts Kat Dennings and Beth Behrs of 2 Broke Girls, along with Heidi Klum, Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev, and more.

Billy Burke Tells Us What Revolution’s Miles Matheson Would Think Of Twilight

billy-burke2

Bella Swan’s slightly naive, overprotective dad Charlie in the Twilight Saga has very little in common with Revolution’s gruff, seemingly invincible warrior Miles Matheson — except for two things: They’ve got the most hilariously quotable lines of their respective stories, and actor Billy Burke gives them both a soft underbelly that keeps us sticking around after all the bloodshed. Before Revolution returns from winter hiatus tonight (8 p.m. ET on NBC), we caught up with Burke to chat about what went down when Bret Michaels dropped in on the show’s “post-power world,” how he keeps sane while filming the show’s outlandish fight sequences and how he feels about the Twilight vortex a year and a half after its conclusion.

The Most Beyooootiful Drunk Awards Show Moments “OF ALL TIME!”

Awards season is kicking off this week, with the one-two punch of the People’s Choice Awards and the Golden Globes, and we are giddy with anticipation. And no, not to see our favorite movies and TV shows collect some hardware as their stars and creators thank their agents — c’mon, you know us better than that. We watch for those magical unscripted moments that happen thanks to someone pre-partying a little too hard, or, in the case of the Globes, hitting that free bubbly at the tables (Glenn Close GIF, we love you forever). It’s a magical thing that happens to stars big (Liz Taylor!) and small (aw, Lil Mama), at all kinds of kudosfests. Here we’re counting down our 10 favoritesssst munk droments:
