Has there been enough booze passed around to the stars this awards season? Never enough, but the People’s Choice, Critics’ Choice, Golden Globes, Screen Actors Guild and Grammy Awards have had some pretty spectacular fail moments this year. Each show reminded us that amid all the glitz and glamour, sometimes things can go wrong: stars get overexcited, machines die, jokes fall flat. Here are the 10 biggest fails of the season, but oh, just wait until the Oscars!

The Fault In Our Stars Trailer Is Making It Very Hard To Type Through Our Tears

“I can’t picture it as a movie, but I’m also very very close to the story, and I’ve been working on it for 10 years, so for me it’s a novel. But if the right people come along and can picture it that way, that would be awesome,” that’s what John Green told me back in January 2012, on the day his book, The Fault in Our Stars, hit shelves. Well, after seeing the trailer, we are pretty sure that “the right people” came along to turn this devastating book about kids living with (and adamantly not just dying of) cancer.

From 007 To Joe Jonas: Stars Who’ve Trashed The Gigs That Made Them Famous

We were tickled to read yet another instance of George Clooney feigning embarrassment over his Batman nipples during his Reddit Ask Me Anything chat yesterday — but however much he laughs about his superhero costume, the guy has never stooped to talking trash about his days on The Facts of Life. Not everyone has been so gracious about the jobs that made them famous, however. Sometimes, with good reason — Joe Jonas‘ revealing chat with New York magazine last year made the Disney machine seem miserable, for instance. Others just sound petty (lookin’ at you, Sean Connery).

15 Years Later: She’s All That Cast Remembers That Epic Prom Scene

MSDSHAL EC004
The year was 1999, and it felt like anything could happen: Following a string of successful teen films in 1998, the teen era was officially back. To help kick things off in the final year before the Millennium was She’s All That, a sleeper hit that featured an ensemble cast, including Freddie Prinze Jr. and Rachael Leigh Cook. The film told the story of a girl with a ponytail, Laney (Cook), who became the subject of a bet that Zack’s (Prinze Jr.) scheme to turn any girl into prom queen. The success of She’s All That introduced fans to a pre-Fast & The Furious Paul Walker, made Prinze the most desirable young man in Hollywood, and thanks to the iconic scene of Cook walking down the stairs in a little red dress, everyone was singing Sixpence None The Richer‘s “Kiss Me.”

On the 15th anniversary of the film’s release, Dulé Hill, Jodi Lyn O’Keefe and Clea DuVall share memories from the set, dancing at prom and working with Walker. Read more…

When Worlds Collide: What Happens When Former Co-Stars Reunite On New Shows?

View Photo Gallery

With this year’s tranche of Super Bowl ads about to hit us Sunday, a sneak peek of one commercial has especially warmed our hearts. Yeah, it may have started off as just another Oikos yogurt ad, but it ended with John Stamos, Dave Coulier and Bob Saget in their post-Full House glory. If these three can get back together just for a TV spot, imagine if they staged a full-scale reunion!

They wouldn’t be the first bunch of former co-stars who’ve shown up together when we least expected it. Who else has surprised their fans by rekindling their old chemistry?

Emma Thompson’s Greatest Awards Season Moments

emmaheader

If there is one standout among this year’s awards season, it’s Emma Thompson. The actress has been a total delight, owning her free spirit. While some celebrities crash and burn by the time they walk the red carpet at the Academy Awards (ahem, Anne Hathaway), Thompson is showing no signs of slowing down. Sadly for fans, she didn’t pick up an Oscar nomination this year for her role in Saving Mr. Banks, but that hasn’t stopped us from enjoying her presence at every other awards program. From martinis and heel tossing at the Golden Globes to photo-bombing at the Screen Actors Guild Awards, Thompson has been a constant delight.
